Hard to find a family owned pizza place in Boca Raton for all these years like Mama’s Pizza. Mama’s Pizza tucked far away off Kimberly Blvd in Boca Raton is the type of place that you would go to if you visited your grandparents living in Century Village down the block.
Victor’s Cafe is tucked away on the back walkway to Worth Avenue in West Palm Beach. So as I give this review, please note I am wearing yellow shorts, a pink striped shirt, lofas with no socks, and I have my nose in the air. Also I am speaking with a closed jaw and think I am better then everyone reading this.
I am not sure I have met a more un-savvy and uneducated technological bunch of business owners as I have in the Pizza Industry. Since it is 2009, I think it is about time for Pizza Owners to realize that there is a thing called the internet and that they should be using it to promote their business, and understand the technology.
Since most places have such little experience on the internet, it always cracks me up when an owner of a place comes onto the comment board and leaves 4-5 comments in a row. Apparently they do not realize that there is such a thing as an IP Address which tracks their precise location. Therefore it enables the administrator of a website such as this to be able to see where the person is located when leaving comments and replies. So when a threatening sounding comment is posted, it seems purely stupid that the person doesn’t think a web master could turn this over to the authorities and lead them right to the persons house and/or business.
If you are a pizza owner and do not like a review you received here, all you have to do is contact us and give us your side of the story. We will gladly send another expert reviewer to your establishment for a second opinion. We don’t want you to suck, and it isn’t our fault you do suck, but if you got a review that says you suck, you should be happy someone is bringing it to your attention here and offering to help make it better.
When you google your establishment, and realize our review comes up highly ranked on google, it is because we are experts, and even google search recognizes us as the pizza authority. Maybe you should consult with us on how to bring your pizza place up higher in search engines. We will gladly help any place that seeks advice.

We have been getting dozens of emails asking us if we know what happened to Di Fara Pizza in Flatbush, Brooklyn. It appears that the place has been closed recently, and our readers are concerned it might be closed down for good.
This is my first review! I am originally from NY so I think I am an excellent judge on good pizza. I mention this, since I spent most of my youth and adult life in search of the best pizza New York had to offer. I love pizza and had a craving for it this past weekend, so I decided to order pizza for the family one night.
This weekend started the 2009 South Florida Fair at the Fairgrounds on Southern Blvd in West Palm Beach. If you have ever been to the Fair, you would surely notice that there are a lot of different food venues, every kind of food imaginable, and lots of it.
So last week Herb points out to me that the Morning Buzz on Buzz 103.1 is having a morning discussion about pizza. After receiving dozens of emails from our readers, I finally decide to turn on the station and listen to see what it going on. Low and behold they are talking about pizza like they or their listeners know anything about it.
Overall the quality of Dutch pizza is pretty low, mostly because of the fact that there are few pizzeria’s here that may still use a wood burning oven, so the dough is often too thick and hard, and the bakers put way too much cheese on it.

While I truly love New York Style Pizza, I do also like anything with sauce and cheese. So for the holidays Mrs. Pizza bought me a special delivery. 2 pizzas arrived via Fedex from Lou Malnati’s. I was so excited I called Pizza Expert who came over with his family to investigate. The pizzas came frozen, packaged in disposable pans. We baked them for about 45 minutes.
Sitting home the other day I got hungry and was appointed the decision maker for our family meal. Thought it would be cool to try out a new place, and remembered passing by Via Italia on 118 Commack Road in Commack, NY, and wanting to try it. BIG MISTAKE! Via Italia Pizza is located in the Meat Farms Shopping Center. I ordered a regular pie, a Sicilian Pie, and a couple of pasta dishes. The first call I made to them was at 2:30 pm, it was during this first call that I placed my order, and was told it would be 20 minutes.
I arrived at Via Italia around 3:00 pm, and the both the pizza and pasta were still not finished. Using basic math skills I figured it was 30 minutes already and not the 20 they had originally said. A few minutes after waiting, the two pies were finished, and placed on the oven, but the rest of the food wasn’t done. Finally…at about 3:25, which is over an hour from when I placed the order, and over 40 minutes from when the food was promised, the rest of the order came out. The rude counter help offered no apologies for it taking as long as it did.
When I got home, we noticed that the sicilian pie wasn’t even cut fully, only cut into 8 slices! What a lazy group of employees Via Italia has. I had to cut the pizza myself. At least the Sicilian pie looked decent, the regular pie looked worse then Domino’s Pizza in my opinion. It was so sloppy looking, that we almost didn’t even eat it. Of course, since the pizza was waiting on top of the oven for about 25 minutes, it was cold and terrible. I mean TERRIBLE.
One of the pasta dishes was also wrong. Get this…I called up and told them that they made a mistake. The idiot who answered proceeded to tell me that they didn’t make any mistakes, and said in a nasty tone “what do you want us to do about it.” I said I can bring it back and the manager said they didn’t want us to bring it back, and said in even a more nastier sounding tone “so what do you want from us again.” I said, I would like what I ordered and they said that they didn’t care and they did not want us to bring back the food as well as the pie that they forgot to cut. Never in my life have I been treated in such an inconsiderate fashion from an uneducated pizza guy, who could barely put his sentences together. He even asked me, why don’t you just slice it yourself and leave us alone!
This experience left a bad taste in my mouth about Via Italia Pizza in Commack. The sicilian pizza was not that tasty and it was very thin. The regular wasn’t even edible.
Via Italia in Commack gets 0 out of 8 slices, and I would NEVER go back to this place after the way they disrespected me, and how rude they treated me. In my opinion it would be wise for everyone to stay away and order from anywhere else in the Commack area. This place could be the Worst Pizza in Long Island, with the worst management. Go to La Scala Pizza instead on Vanderbilt Parkway.
