Bianca’s Italian Pizza at South Florida Fair

What is it about Fair food that makes it look so good, smell so good and sound so good (how does a donut burger with bacon and cheese sound?), and yet taste so bad. From fried pickles, bologna sandwiches &r Twinkies, you get just about anything fried.  You can get just about anything on a stick; including meats, frozen cheesecake dipped in chocolate, bananas, strawberries, even cheese.

Hot Pie Pizza City Place West Palm Beach

hotpiepizza.jpghot_pie_pizza.jpg

Just got back from trying out a new place that opened near Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach, named Hot Pie Pizza.  Upon walking into the place I was pretty impressed with the decor and layout of the restaurant.  They had a full bar in the front by the door and windows, and a row of booths to the narrow corridor on the left.  We were greeted by an amazingly friendly server, who also happened to be the bar tender.

One of the great things about being on staff here at Worst Pizza is the
ability to call in to the home office for a recommendation.  “Where should I
eat on Okeechobee in West Palm?”

Pizzeria Uno Pizza Palm Beach Airport

Pizzeria Uno On my way to Austin, I made the mistake of grabbing a mini pizza pie at the Pizzeria Uno kiosk in Palm Beach Airport. Since my options were donuts, gross looking burgers, or gross Pizza, I chose the pizza.  I am sure the others would have been equally as gross.

Maybe I am mistaken Pizzeria Uno as being a place that serves deep dish pizza, but this pungent pie was nothing like deepdish.  The dough was rubbery, and the cheese tasted totally processed.  There wasn’t much I liked about this pizza, including the absurdly high price.  If you are heading to the Palm Beach airport, do yourself a favor and try to eat before you get there, so you do not have to encounter this crap.

I mean at least put a little effort into the below par pizza you are serving, for the $8 + price you charge.

Nick’s Tomato Pie – Palm Beach Airport

imag0086Thanks to Seth for sending this into me.

Nick’s Tomato Pie is located at the West Palm International Airport. With a name like “Tomato,” you’ll be surprised by the limited amount of actual tomato sauce. The cracker-type thin crust was good and the mix of cheeses was tasty.

The pizza comes out pretty quick since the thin crust does not require a lot of time in the oven.  This is especially good if you are rushing to catch a flight!  The sauce I did manage to taste wasn’t too bad so I am not sure why they skimped out on it.  The crust was tasty and crisp, and the cheese mix was pretty good.  It is not like I would rush out of my way to go to the airport to eat this pizza, but considering the choices most airports have for pizza, I have to say Nick’s is one of the best I have had.  Beats Sbarro and the other crappy places most terminals have.

Nick’s Tomato Pie at the Palm Beach Airport gets 4 out of 8 slices.

Victor’s Cafe Pizza West Palm Beach Worth Avenue

Victor’s Cafe is tucked away on the back walkway to Worth Avenue in West Palm Beach.  So as I give this review, please note I am wearing yellow shorts, a pink striped shirt, lofas with no socks, and I have my nose in the air.  Also I am speaking with a closed jaw and think I am better then everyone reading this.
