Albert’s Pizza Ronkonkoma Best Pizza Long Island

For my nephews birthday party, my sister special ordered from Albert’s in Ronkonkoma. Albert’s Pizza is probably one of the Best Pizza Places in Long Island. Located on 601-9 Portion Road in Ronkonkoma, NY 631.487.4674. Many of you may know, that Albert’s received the first perfect 8 out of 8 slices from us here at worstpizza.com. At the time we ate in, this time they delivered from pretty far away to my sisters house. By the time the pizza got there it was pretty soggy and a bit cold. So in all fairness this pizza should have never traveled this far. Just wanted to state that prior to the review.
My first slice came from the regular pie, which had a nice taste to it, but was a bit too soggy to fully enjoy. However the cheese and crust tasted pretty good, and the sauce was a perfect blend. The second slice I had was from their award winning upside down Sicilian slice. This too was a bit cold and soggy, and I was too hungry to reheat this in the oven. Even for cold and soggy Albert’s still produces an amazing slice.
I will give Albert’s 7 out of 8 slices, for this time. Which is pretty incredible considering the distance it traveled to get there. Thank you for delivering it so far for us!!
Nick’s Tomato Pie – Palm Beach Airport
Thanks to Seth for sending this into me.
Nick’s Tomato Pie is located at the West Palm International Airport. With a name like “Tomato,” you’ll be surprised by the limited amount of actual tomato sauce. The cracker-type thin crust was good and the mix of cheeses was tasty.
The pizza comes out pretty quick since the thin crust does not require a lot of time in the oven. This is especially good if you are rushing to catch a flight! The sauce I did manage to taste wasn’t too bad so I am not sure why they skimped out on it. The crust was tasty and crisp, and the cheese mix was pretty good. It is not like I would rush out of my way to go to the airport to eat this pizza, but considering the choices most airports have for pizza, I have to say Nick’s is one of the best I have had. Beats Sbarro and the other crappy places most terminals have.
Nick’s Tomato Pie at the Palm Beach Airport gets 4 out of 8 slices.
Second Visit To Pizza Time Boca Raton Best Pizza

Went back to Pizza Time in Boca Raton to give a quick test if the pizza was as good as our previous review stated. This time I ordered the same 2 slices I got last time. One regular and one Sicilian.
The regular came out looking odd, and was very wide but very short, which made holding the pizza kind of backward, at least compared to what I am used to. The Sicilian was a corner (which I am not crazy about). Now for the review:
The regular slice was crispy and held together nicely, considering the size of the slice. The cheese was perfect and there was just the right amount of sauce. The sauce seemed a little off today and very little taste.
The Sicilian slice also had a nice crust and a nice tasting cheese, with a perfect amount placed on it. Once again the sauce wasn’t so sweet as last time. If you are going to put sauce on top of the Sicilian slice when it comes out of the oven, you should at least make sure it tastes perfect.
In my opinion, their Sicilian slices are much better then their regular. Either way this is certainly a place not to avoid, and worth going out of the way for.
Pizza Time in Boca Raton gets 5 out of 8 slices for this visit.
Branchinelli’s Pizza Hauppauge Long Island
Ever have one of those “ooops, I shouldn’t have said anything moments?” Well that is what happened to me when I went to Branchinelli’s Pizza in Hauppauge.
Branchinelli’s Pizza is located on 555 Route 111 in Hauppauge 631.724.6663. My sister mentioned that this place must be good since it is always jammed. When I first stepped inside I was amazed to see how jammed it was. This place was super busy compared to all the other places I had gone before it this day. There must have been like 7-9 people behind the counter helping people and 3-4 behind them making pizzas. Plenty of oven space here.
We were greeted pretty quickly by an exceptionally nice guy. I ordered one Sicilian slice and started waiting. The kid behind the counter noticed my iPhone and we got into a conversation about stuff. I mentioned to him I was from worstpizza.com and handed him a card telling him to check the site out. Another guy behind the counter asked if I was the guy who was behind the site and I confirmed it. He then asked what I thought of Colosseo in Port Jefferson Station. As I am sure you all know, I went to Colosseo Pizza during a previous visit to Long Island and could not imagine for the life of me why people speak so highly of the pizza there. It wasn’t anything near the Best Pizza in Long Island. So, I responded with a “I think Colosseo stinks and is highly overrated and must pay the papers to rank it so high.” That is when he informed me that they also owned Colosseo Pizza! YIKES!
It was at this point I started to feel uncomfortable since the kid was about to call the owner over to introduce me, and I am sure he has been waiting to have some words with me! Thank goodness the owner could care less to speak to a customer and walked away to do something else. Remember how I always say, that the owners should interact with their customers? Well I want to change this, and now say that Owners should always interact with their customers except for me at places I didn’t give great reviews too!
When the pizza came out I took a bite and noticed how crispy it was. The pizza guy told me it is because they take pride in every pie they put out and make sure they all receive the proper rotations in the oven. They have a system at Branchinelli’s, whereby the pizza hits all four corners of the oven during baking to ensure no cold spots. I appreciate the care and pride they put into their pizza. The cheese was nice and hot and the sauce was ok, the crust was crispy but didn’t have much taste to it. I would definitely pick this place over Colosseo and say with absolute certainty that this place is better then Colosseo.
