Uncle Joe’s Pizza Lake Grove Long Island
Uncle Joes Pizza is just down the block from La Grova. I thought La Grova would be my favorite of the day, but Uncle Joe’s held its own. Upon talking to the owner of Uncle Joe’s, it quickly became apparent, this guy and I have similar views on pizza.
Uncle Joe’s opened up 25 years ago, and as the owner states: “it was back when people didn’t put toppings on their slices of pizza.When you wanted a slice, you just said give me a slice.” Prior to opening in Lake Grove they were in Astoria then Lynbrook, Rosedale, and Albertson.

Pizzeria Enzo Las Vegas Pizza

Harmoni Market Pizza College Park, FL
I ate lunch at Harmoni Market in Orlando’s College Park neighborhood during an unexpected detour caused from an I-4 closure. The service was a bit weird when we entered, the group of employees standing at the bar ignored us for a few minutes until someone finally told us to sit anywhere. This awkwardness was followed by a drink being served in a cup covered in lipstick stains, but after the initial trouble, the food and service were good.

Waterstone Pizzeria – Waterstone Pizza Lynchburg
Taking advantage of my trip home, I sampled another pizzeria today – Waterstone Pizzeria in Lynchburg, Virginia. The location and ambiance of this restaurant are great. Located on the bottom floor of an old warehouse on the banks of the James river, the interior is a mix of the old and the new – worn down brick and stone walls surrounding modern booths, and more importantly a new pizza oven. I should also mention it features local beer from the microbrew above it, a very unique and cool pizzeria.

Pizzarella Pizza Hollywood, FL
Someone from a recent pizza event suggested I give Pizzarella in Hollywood, FL a shot. Looking through my suggestions in my worstpizza.com inbox, I came across two other recommendations for this place. Normally after 3 emails, I will take a visit to a place. So since it was 2 emails and one personal recommendation, I headed down there.

Isabella’s Pizza Lynchburg, VA
On a recent trip home to visit my parents, I had the pleasure of eating at an upscale, modern Italian restarant, Isabella’s in Lynchburg, Virginia (If you’re a minority, don’t be put off by the name of the city. It’s named after a person, not a verb.).
Before I even got to the wine list, I looked down and realized that one of the nightly specials was an small pizza served as an appetizer.
Wowies Sports Bar Boca Raton Sold?
We are getting reports that Wowies in Boca Raton, has recently been sold. This could only improve the pizza that they had since it really couldn’t get worse according to Dori’s review here.
We look forward to going to Wowies and eating there again, to hopefully give a much better review then the previous visit. We hear the new owners name is Sofia, and we wish her a tremendous amount of luck in her new endeavor.
We will keep you updated after we eat there.

PizzaTweetup at Wild Olives Boca Raton
Wild Olives has invited us all to their restaurant for a PizzaTweetup in conjuction with @worstpizza and @dinemag.
They will serve a selection of their flat breads.
