Nauna’s Bella Casa Pizza Montclair NJ

My mother in law suggested we try Nauna’s Italian Restaurant while driving through Montclair, New Jersey.
They desperately need a new website! But we will not focus on the website now, but if you happen to click on it you will see that they have spent about zero dollars on their attention to it. I was hoping they spent more time and care on to the pizza I was about to eat.

Lombardi’s Italian Restaurant Pizza Bayside Miami
Met a buddy of mine from New York who was in Miami for a few days. After the hour long ride down there, I was pretty hungry and we decided to meet at Bayside and pick out a restaurant. Bayside has plenty to choose from so I figured it was a safe bet, and if all else failed we could end up eating the crap at hooters while trying to enjoy the view.
We wandered around a little bit and I noticed a place I had personally never seen before, towards the deader section of the mainly outdoor shopping center. Lombardi’s was pretty empty on this lovely afternoon so we almost decided to try somewhere else, in fear it sucked enough to keep others away. Since none of us felt like waiting, and the kids started complaining, we ended up getting seated inside. We were the only table inside this restaurant.

European Cafe Kosher Pizza Boca Raton
A kosher friend of mine asked me if I would join him and give my honest opinion of the pizza at the European Cafe in Boca Raton. Never being one to decline an invite for some pizza, I naturally accepted.
Finding a Kosher pizza place around South Florida is not that easy. Besides the logistical trouble, there is also the trouble of finding good pizza that happens to be Kosher. In Boca Raton we have Jon’s Place, which I never really fancied.

Pazzo Ristorante Pizza Portland, OR
In my opinion, it’s hard to find anything affiliated with the Kimpton Hotel chain that is “wrong.” Our experiences in these hotels, around the country, and here in Portland, have been absolutely superb. In fact, the Portland Monaco (formerly Fifth Avenue Suites) was Mrs. BDB and my choice to host our wedding party, back in the day. The concierge there, during our visit, saved our bacon on more than one occasion during the turmoil of putting a wedding together!

Ziyad Brand Frozen Middle Eastern Style Pizza
Just back from a two week burger and pizza tour, by the second night home, naturally I was craving a little…….pizza.
Perused the freezer in the home ice box, and came up with two I hadn’t tried. Ziyad Brand Middle Eastern Style Gourmet Pizza and White Toque Brand Four Cheese Tart.
Both of these were in the frozen food sections of my neighborhood Halal market. Ziyad is a Chicago based importer and distributor, their website says they currently distribute over 1000 products to 46 states and 6 countries. It would seem the only thing they manufacture themselves is pita. The pizza does not have a country of origin label on it, so one would assume it has been sitting in a storage freezer since that labeling law came into effect. Nor can I find any reference to the origin on their website.

ChevyPizzaCrawl 3 Recap
Each time I start planning a #chevypizzacrawl, I have to question if the next event could possibly live up to the previous event. Seems almost impossible to have a better time then the last time. Once again I exceeded my expectations and couldn’t believe the fun that was had this past Saturday, June 26th in Miami.

Sahara Pizza Cle Elum Washington
I kind of like pulling into a strange town, middle of nowhere, that I have no idea what the town name means, or how it is even pronounced. Cle Elum is a non-stoplight town (as the mayor proclaims in his ‘welcome’ section of the free newspaper) and was built as a logging town, later coal mining, and was a stop on the westward roll of the Northern Pacific Railway. The town was pretty much wiped out from a fire in 1918, which destroyed 29 square blocks of buildings. Only one building remains from that era.

Aura Pizza South Beach Miami

After attending the ExxxoticaMiami event at the Miami Beach Convention Center, I got a bit hungry (and not just for food 😉 ) so I went to meet my family, who were staying down there for the weekend with me on Lincoln Road. After wandering around for a bit, and realizing how expensive the clothes at the Original Penguin Store are, we decided to eat. Initially I wanted to try Da Leo on Lincoln after @johnnybond86 told me it was pretty good.

Sneaky Pete’s Pizza Lake Lewisville Texas

Dallas does not seem to be known for its water frontage. Outside of a few man made lakes around it, it is actually quite baron. We traveled up to Lake Lewisville to see what was going on and have a relaxing day. We decided to meet at Sneaky Pete’s on Lake Lewisville. It seemed like it was the only place of its kind on this lake. But don’t go by me 100% on that assumption, since I haven’t been anywhere else around this lake.
