Victor’s Pizza Delight Melville NY

victors_slice.jpgVictorspizza.jpgI guess everyone has that acquaintance who seems to think he knows the “best” everything.  He has the best plumber, and the best dentist, even the best tire guy.  Sure, during previous “best” recommendations he managed to fail me.  Like the time he said “I know where the best garlic knots are in New York”, and like a fool I actually went there to try them, only to find they were far from the best.  Note to self:  never take advice on anything Italian from an Irish guy.

A lot of people new to the area might think that Caligiuri’s Restaurant and Patio Pizza are not the same place. They are actually connected inside and the restaurant portion is called Caligiuri’s, while the pizza place is called Patio Pizza.

Gio’s Pizza Miller Place Long Island

giospizza.jpgIt never ceases to amaze me how developed eastern Long Island has become.  The further my sister drives me out on the island, the more and more new strip malls and houses pop up.  We were heading out to the Hamptons, when my sister told me about a pizza place my father and her like to frequent when out those ways.  She thinks they have some really good garlic knots, as well as some quality pizza.  The name of the place is Gio’s of Miller place.
