Anna Vincenzo’s Pizza Boca Raton
The last stop of our Boca Raton pizza tour, was at Anna Vincenzo’s in the 5th Avenue shops. 1930 NE 5th Ave (561) 362-8990. You know how they say “save the best for last?” Well this place was definitely the best of the three…at least according to me. My son really liked La Pizza, but at least we both agreed on the grossness level of Primavera.
A little history of Anna Vincenzo’s Pizza in Boca Raton….Anna Vincenzo’s used to be Carlucci’s Pizza until the current owner bought it from them. The current owner was trained by her father who used to own a pizza joint in Jackson Heights queeens I think it was. He used to work there when they first bought the place, but I haven’t noticed him behind the counter making pies in a while.
As I sat there waiting for my slice, I watched the pizza guy (who appeared from central america) making the pizzas. All I could say is I was amazed at the time and patience he put into each and every pie he was making. This guy was obviously trained by a master and it really showed. He stretched the dough out perfectly, he used a generous amount of sauce and cheese, and made sure to put the same amount of seasoning on each pie. This leads to obvious consistency from pie to pie. My slice was a bit oily, but it tasted great. The crust was crispy, the taste was great, and the cheese was awesome to say the least. My son didn’t really care for this slice, but I think it is because he cannot hang with the big guys on a pizza tour and got too full to fully enjoy it.
I cannot attest for the regular pie out of the oven, but their slices are damn good. Anna Vincenzo’s in Boca Raton gets 5 out of 8 slices. Congrats on the baby as well CICI.
La Pizza Boca Raton – Great Crust
Our second stop on the mini Boca Raton pizza tour, took us to La Pizza in Boca Raton. Located at 134 NE 2nd St (561) 353-1182, it is right near Mizner Park. Please excuse the photo of the slice cut in half, but in order to keep room for our tour, we had to start splitting slices.

Perrini’s Pizza Boca Raton Finally Gets a Makeover
Perrini’s Pizza in West Boca Raton has long been known as a decent pizza place, but the kind of place that should have a sign saying Eat At Your Own Risk. The place was pretty much a pig sty, with bugs once landing in my soda. That is incidentally when I stopped eating there.
Prior to the bug landing incident, my son used to pick this place as a baby because they used to let him draw photos and hang them on the wall with the other gross photos that used to hang there until the paper started to shrivel from age. Then after the drawing they used to give the kids free Italian Ices! Perrini’s certainly knew how to market to their child crowd, who in turn made their parents take them to eat here.
The pizza, was never that bad, and had great potential if you could get past the atmosphere. I guess the owner finally got the hint and has finally decided to redo the awful decor inside. Let’s hope this cleans the place up and gives it a more comfortable layout.
Rumors have been flying in to WorstPizza HQ that Pirinis might take over Peace a pizza in Boca Raton. We cannot confirm this yet, but will keep you informed as we hear more. Since in our opinion Peace a Pizza stinks, we look forward to the change should it be true.

La Prima Pizza Boca Raton Closed?
Although it hasn’t been confirmed yet, some of our sources are saying La Prima Pizza in Boca Raton has closed. The shopping center La Prima is located in, seems to be vacant. La Prima Pizza still has all their equipment inside, as well as furniture so I wonder if they just left? This is a shame because we never got a second chance to try the pizza and see if they made any improvements to it.
We have been trying to call La Prima Pizza in Boca Raton for quite a few days now, and calling their number only gets busy signals. 561-353-1080
We will keep you updated as we hear more.
Steve’s Wood Fired Pizza Boca Raton

Steve’s Wood Fired Pizza is located towards the western part of Boca Raton. Just west of Lyons Road actually. Went there with Jimbo the other night. Originally we were going to Mama’s Pizza, but decided to try a place I haven’t reviewed yet. Sorry Mama’s!

Big City Pizza Boca Raton Is Not Moving
It has just been brought to our attention that Big City Pizza in Boca Raton, is not moving across the street. Seems like they are going to be able to work things out with their current landlord and stay put. This was a smart move on their landlords behalf, since that shopping center already has had permanent empty space, and with the current economic meltdown, it is extremely unlike he would find someone to take Big City Pizza’s spot.

Grand Lux Cafe Pizza Boca Raton

Cheesy, Cheesy, and not in the ostentatious way. This would be the best way to describe the pizza I had the other day at the Grand Lux Cafe in Boca Raton, at the Town Center Mall.
I should know better then to let my wife decide where to eat. Seems like anytime I tell her to pick a place, and no matter where it is I will be happy, I end up unhappy. Her brilliant choice this week was the Grand Lux Cafe.
