Vic and Angelos Pizza Delray Beach

Nov 28 2008 by Big G

Went out to Vic & Angelos the other night.  This place just opened a week ago but they have their act together.  It is in a location where other places tried but failed.  This place is a winner.  It is owned by David Manero Restaurants. The place is very nice and has a great bar.  They have glass windows to see the kitchen and the waiters are all in orange crocks. (I do not know why you need to know that).  Supposedly they even import the water from New York, but I have yet to prove this. We had the Pizza (Great dough and very good) as well as the Calamari, fried zucchini, and the chef sent out some buttern

Cape May Cafe Breakfast Pizza Disney World

Nov 24 2008 by Matt's Pizza

Breakfast Pizza
As we continue our vacation in Disney World, we were excited to have breakfast with Minnie Mouse at the Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort in Orlando, FL.  This is a nice breakfast option if your staying in the Epcot area.  It is a character breakfast with Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald and sometimes Chip & Dale. As they did not offer eggs to order, I started to consider the Breakfast Pizza.  And you know what, it was really good.  How could you go wrong with eggs, bacon, salsa and cheese baked into a pizza.  It was embaris

Pinocchio Village Haus Pizza at Disney

Nov 23 2008 by Matt's Pizza

Located in the heart of Fantasyland, in the Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida, lies Pinocchio Village House.  While I do not want to stake my reputation on this review, I have to say I like this place.  Not just like, but look forward to this pizza when at Magic Kingdom.  It's a great location, no pressure, filling meal. We sat outside and just watched everyone on the dumbo ride having fun, watched the people walking past, and enjoyed some decent pizza.  My threshold question in evaluating a pizza place is Would I go back?  And the answer is an emphatic yes.  And so far, I have not been disappointed.  The pizza is about $6 and a nice salad can be added for $2.   Everyone in the family was happy and ate their pizza, so Pinocchio gets 5 out

Papa Joe’s in Lake Mary Florida

Nov 17 2008 by MB

Papa Joe's is a local chain of Italian restaurants in the Central Florida area that used to be really popular. Their Altamonte Springs and Lake Mary Blvd locations almost always had a wait, and then they started to expand. As they opened up more and more restaurants in the area, their food and service became worse and worse. After a while I decided the restaurants weren't worth eating at anymore. Eventually other people must have gotten the same feeling because the restaurants seemed to no longer have waits to eat, and Papa Joe's closed all of their restaurants except for two in Lake Mary and one in Altamonte Springs. After years of not eating at a Papa Joe's, I decided to give them another try and went to the

Mississippi Pizza in Portland Oregon

Nov 13 2008 by pizzaexpert

Lots of people here, always. Expect a line at Mississippi Pizza Pub on 3552 N Mississippi (503) 288-3231. Sometimes people sing in the adjacent room, or Pete Rock reads. This time the water cooler was low. Not a big deal though cause Dan reminded me that the soda machine makes water. Pizza guys are always friendly here but not too friendly. They’ll ask you if you want a beer if you don’t order a beer, which is good. Maybe the guys feel sorry for the slices when they leave the counter without beer since the two go so well together and really don’t like being separated? I don’t know. A nice crust. I generally like mine a bit crispier, but this was okay. It made for good folding. Nothing falling apart like American Dream(’)s. An excellent sauce-to-cheese ratio, though I have to say that the sauce could be more flavorful (which is the bigges
