Florio’s Pizza Hollywood, Fl

My oh my has the Hollywood Boardwalk in Florida changed, and for the best. Well, I guess if you ask some it isn’t for the best, but one thing is certain during the winter here in Hollywood… If you have a French Canadian accent, and drive poorly, you will fit right in.
It seems Hollywood has become Southern Quebec. It used to be saturated with tourists looking to escape the cold Canadian weather, but I actually found it hard to find someone speaking English on the boardwalk. My son and I were walking on towards the North when we got hungry. Although we passed by several pizza places along the way, we chose Florio’s Pizza since it was directly in front of us when he asked to eat.

Bella Nonna Gourmet Pizza Boca Raton

A new pizza place recently opened up in the northern end of Boca Raton on Federal Highway named Bella Nonna Gourmet Pizza. It took the location of many a failed food establishment, including but not limited to Giovanni’s Pizza. Someone told me they saw Bella Nonna Pizza advertising on Facebook one day and asked if I had checked it out out. I hadn’t so the other day I went in with a couple of buddies to check it out.
Bella Nonna Gourmet Pizza didn’t really look like it changed much since my previous visit into the pizzeria, when it was owned by some other name. We went up to the counter, but didn’t see any pizza in the display case, so we asked what we should do, and were told with what sounded like a Brazilian accent, to order here and sit down. We ordered up a few different pies and began the wait.

Secret Pizza at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Best Pizza Slice

Just got back from a trip with the family to Las Vegas. We had an opportunity to stay at the ever so chic Cosmopolitan Hotel, on the Vegas Strip. This was our first time being able to stay at this trendy hotel, so I was really looking forward to the experience, and see if the hype lived up to its expectations.
The Cosmopolitan Hotel is located next to the Bellagio Hotel, and man, did we have an awesome view of the water show. Anyways, I am not here to be some travel guide, I am here to discuss pizza. Before arriving in Vegas, I never checked out The Cosmopolitan website to see what food choices they offered. Most hotels have a food court of some kind, many of which house at least a pizza place. After checking in, I couldn’t believe it, but The Cosmopolitan didn’t list any pizza places outside of the D.O.C.G restaurant, which made a Neapolitan style pie. We will be reviewing this pizza in a few days.

Coyote Jack’s Pizza FAU – Florida Atlantic University Boca Raton

As I visit the campus of Florida Atlantic University more and more in Boca Raton, I become more acclimated with the food choices on campus. Since the food court houses a Papa John’s Pizza and I would sometimes rather eat M&M’s for dinner instead of that crap, I decided to go with a friend to the bar/restaurant located within the Student Union called Coyote Jack’s and see what type of offerings they had there.
It was with delight I noticed that they offer some flatbread pizza choices here. I ordered a half pie which was $5.99, and asked for it without the cheddar cheese they mix in it for some odd reason. Oh well, it is a college and I shouldn’t expect normalcy. Especially from one which has had so much negative press lately.

Mario The Baker Pizza North Miami

Was hanging at a buddy’s place the other day when him and his co-worker decided they were hungry. Since they weren’t able to go out and spend time dining in a restaurant, we decided to go pick up pizza at a nearby Mario The Baker. There are several Mario The Baker pizzerias in Miami, this one was located in North Miami.
I wasn’t expecting much of the pizza since most of the other Mario The Baker pizza shops were just average. Add the fact it was going to be brought in, and stuffed into a cardboard box, and I was even less enthusiastic. Oh well, I was hungry so when it came, I was excited all the same.

		Lo Zingaro’s Pizza Toronto

We welcome our latest reviewer Dave to our lineup. Dave had some amazing pizza the other night up in Toronoto and decided to write in.
I feel that Lo Zingaro’s Pizza located in Toronto deserves this review after having an amazing time along with absolutely the best pizza in Toronto!. I was looking online with my girlfriend for some new pizza places to try out, and that’s when we came to this new Queen Street pizza place located very close to us. So we decided , ah what the heck , we like to try new places!

iPic Movie Theatre Mizner Park Boca Raton Pizza

Had the opportunity to go to the iPic Movie Theatre in Mizner Park the other night. This new Boca Raton movie theatre seems to be all the rage, so it seemed well worth the try. My nephew was visiting so I wanted him to have a good experience anyways. When I saw the tickets were $24 a piece, I realized this might be the only time I go see a movie here.
The only movie we could see was Olympus Has Fallen, and at 10pm, so I was already tired when I got there. I noticed the menu had pizza on it, and I couldn’t wait to try it.

Riverside Market Pizza, Fort Lauderdale, FL

Not that I try to go and check out all the chic places that open in South Florida, but one place always seem to come out of my friends mouths. The Riverside Market in Fort Lauderdale. I thought I knew where this place was, as I thought I remembered passing it once, but upon trying to navigate my way to find it off of Davie Road, it quickly became evident that I had no clue where The Riverside Market was.
This place is like an oasis, situated in between some old Florida style cottages, and a tennis court. For a moment, while driving around looking for parking (which is almost impossible to get), I felt like I was somewhere else. This didn’t feel like Fort Lauderdale at all. After about 15 minutes of driving around these narrow tree lined streets, we finally found a spot. It took us about 3-5 minutes of walking through nats, mosquitos and some other unidentifiable insects, but we ultimately arrived at this completely inconspicuous establishment. I didn’t even know they had pizza, let alone food at this point.

Delvecchio’s Pizza BB&T Center Sunrise, FL

Well I had the official pizza of the Florida Panthers the other day while watching the Panthers lose to the Jets the other day at The BB&T center the other day. At least I think it is still called The BB&T Center still, since it seems to change every few months to something else. Apparently the name of the arena is not the only thing that changes regularly. The pizza also changed recently, from Papa John’s (I think) to Giovanni’s Pizza, and now to Delvecchio’s Pizza.
Delvecchio’s Pizza has a few other locations throughout South Florida, including Weston, and Davie. I have been to their Weston location, but wasn’t overly impressed by the pizza I ate there. Not that there was anything specifically wrong with it, it was just that there are many other places that I felt served better pies. One thing I knew, is that I disliked Giovanni’s Pizza and Papa John’s, so I was quite confident that this Delvecchio’s Pizza would taste better.

Peace a Pizza Boca Raton, FL

I haven’t been to Peace a Pizza in Boca Raton for a long long time. Last time I went there, I reviewed this pizzeria and truly disliked it. Not sure I found one single redeeming quality about this establishment. Anyways, I linked the article in my second sentence, so you can always click to read it there.
A buddy of mine told me that Peace a Pizza had new owners in this Boca Raton location, in the Ale House shopping center. At first I doubted him, since Peace a Pizza had been for sale forever in this lunch only section of Boca Raton. Being my inquisitive self, I went in to see if there were in fact, new owners.
