Went to Peace A Pizza in Boca Raton today for lunch. Even though it is located across the street from my office, I would rather drive miles then go back. Eating this pizza was like getting a big gift that is wrapped beautifully and then you open it and realize there is a pair of tube socks inside.

Upon walking into the restaurant you are greeted with this amazing smell of fresh pizza. And as you walk by the counter you see dozens of different varieties to choose from (as you can see in my photos.

Trust me folks, in my opinion, these look a whole lot better then they taste. Peace A Pizza does not put any TLC into their pie. It is almost like a glorified Papa Johns with a few extra choices. I am a firm believer you should be good at one kind of pizza before you try to doll up others. You can tell how little they care about the pizza by the way they bake it. Peace A Pizza does not have a regular pizza oven but some new type of concoction that circles the pizza around.

It is almost like watching Krispy Kremes getting made but with pizza instead. Even once you order your slice of pizza, which in my case was one regular and one sicilan (which of course during lunch time they were out of sicilian which is a fantastic time not to prepare in advance) they do nothing more then take the slice and run it through a turbo jet speed oven looking thing. I also ordered a garlic loaf which they neglected to give me and ultimately was handed to me with tongs into my hand since the kid was too lazy or dumb to give me a plate or a napkin. But at least he told me to be careful since it was hot as he put it into my hand…..how odd! In my opinion, after having the pizza today I am kind of surprised they are still open, since they are in a high rent shopping plaza. In my opinion, I will give Peace A Pizza in Boca Raton, Florida 1 out of 8 slices.

It could be a product of the management. I have been to the PA Peace a Pizza shops before and am very pleased with the experience. I haven’t had a chance to try this one yet as I just moved down to Florida.

As for the oven, I’m pretty sure it’s just like any other pizza oven…it cooks the pies. Whether it’s a deck oven or the one they use, it’s not like the oven makes the pies for them…

    John!

I guess for the price, we just deserve more! If I am ever up in PA I will be sure to check that one out too! Have you tried any local places down here?

Have not tried the pizza, but in there defense,it's not considered a pizza place. It's more for sandwiches, and wings.it's like going to a steak house and ordering the fish.it will be o,k but you're at a steak house,Im going to have a steak. And dont forget, you're in boca where the customers are rude, nasty,or just plain mean. These people live to complain, waiting is impossible for them to comprehend. They valet their beemers, and s,u,v,'s,find something to complain about every part of the business, then they barely tip the servers, complain all the way out the door, then stiff the valet who just ran across the huge parking lot in ninety degree heat.So dont blame the staff for not giving you a message,or manacure while they watch six of you ask for seperate checks.they all can afford to buy their seventy thousand dollar cars, but leave a decent tip no way,After all the girl is getting paid, wich is what she will hear when she gets to her second job,so she can pay for school.Shame on the people from boca, shame on you!!!!!!

This is my favorite pizza restaurant…and I'm a NY pizza snob. Other pizza lovers that came to the Sun-Sentinel pizza tweet-up recently all raved about Peace A Pizza and I agree…fresh delicious high quality pizza with well seasoned crusts and no grease! Lines out the door at lunch time whenever I go.

I'm from Philadelphia (where this chain is based) and I have to agree with the original post. The pizza definitely looks a lot better than it tastes. There's something off with the dough and the sauce. I won't say it's the worst pizza I've had, because the national chains are terrible and there are also some local places that churn out slop, but given how expensive Peace a Pizza is, it's pretty disappointing. They really could use a lesson on the basics.

I work across the street from this place and routinely go past it at lunch hour, never ever ever ever have there been “lines out the door.” The few times I’ve gone there have maybe been a person or two ahead of me. Shocked they are still in business. By the time this pizza gets to you it’s lost any and all flavor.
