Another excellent post from our friends over at BurgersDogsPizza. Burgerdogboy. their lead writer does an excellent job describing the pizza.
The food was superb, but we were sorry to be there on the day which, apparently, every single staff member lost a dear relative…or their cat…or…..really, this was the gloomiest set of service personnel I have experienced in years, and generally the mood of a food establishment starts at the top, and filters down…so something was amiss.
I was driving down and the road, and the familiar sound of my children bellowing from the backseat, “Daddy, we’re hungry.” I ask, “What would you like to eat?” The reply from the backseat “Pizza.” So we stop at Esposito’s Pizza & Restaurant at 2221 S. University Drive in Davie for a couple of slices.
Although Dom & Louie’s Pizza in Lake Worth, isn’t exactly in a shopping center where you would normally expect to find a Pizza place, if you pass this place by and don’t try it, you are foolish. Their slogan is “It’s Not The Water” indicating that you don’t need New York Water to make a good slice. Time to put their slice to the test to see if this is true.

Many places seem to fear the reviews they will get from us after we eat there. Usually this is due to their poor quality, or lack of knowledge making pizza. Amato’s on the other hand took the proactive approach and invited the Pizza Experts in to try their pizza and review it. This says a lot about their confidence.

I’ve always heard good things about Lazy Moon Pizza in Orlando near UCF, so I went to give them a try. When I first walked in, I was kind of surprized how crowded Lazy Moon was on a weeknight. There wasn’t a seat in the place, but I was I luckily already had plans to get my slice to-go.
After visiting King Umberto’s, we decided to give another Umberto’s a try. This time we went to the Umberto’s in New Hyde Park. I thought I ate here a few years ago, but the restaurant was set up differently than I remembered.
After being hyped up about Coal Vine Pizza in Southlake, my excitement was quickly diminished as we went there for lunch, only to find out it was closed. The next best choice according to my host was Campania Pizza & More in the Southlake City Center.
