Pizzeria Oceano Lantana, FL Best Pizza Lantana
My friend John who used to be a food critic for a local paper kept telling me he found the perfect pizza place in South Florida and it was called Pizzeria Oceano in Lantana. Although we agreed that Tucci’s Pizza in Boca Raton was delicious, and The Sicilian Oven in Lighthouse Point as well, for some reason I just never really listened to him and went. After a long time had gone by without seeing each other, we decided to go on a pizza crawl at a few pizza joints towards the North. Initially we were going to go to Pizzeria Oceano, then Nick’s Apizza in Lake Worth, and then venture out to some random place we hoped to pass on the way home. We never made it to the third.

Speranza Pizza Boca Raton – Brazilian Pizza

THIS PLACE IS CLOSED
A place recently opened up in East Boca Raton, called Speranza Pizza, or La Speranza Pizza, I see it spelled differently from time to time by Federal Hwy, and Palmetto Part Road. You guessed it, right across the street from Tucci’s Pizza.
I was thoroughly impressed with the amount of advertising I saw around town from them, including an invite directly to me, to come try their pizza and review it. Seems like they really had plans for this place to become a pizza contender in the area.

The French Fry Fairy and Worstpizza Attend Free Pizza Day at Tucci’s Pizza
Saturday, to celebrate being named a top ten pizza place in the country, Tucci’s Pizza elected to give out free pizza to anyone who came between 12-4pm. Needless to say it was JAMMED, with hundreds of people at any time throughout the event.
The French Fry Fairy and myself met there, and shot some video together. I love spending time with Beth, she is so much fun and has a laugh that can cheer anyone up.

Angelas Pizza South Florida Fair
Its that time of year again, time for the FAIR. And we had to go right away. Amid all the great treats to eat, Mrs. Pizza wanted to get a slice. And I dont blame her. Luckily for her, she had me, and I had my iPhone, but mostly me. I pulled up my prior reviews of pizza at the fair so I knew which places to avoid. We decided to try something new though (what we do for our fans). And we are GLAD WE DID.

Cafe Millenium Milan, Italy
Cafe Millenium not to be confused with the hotel in Milan Italy is small little restaurant and cafe which is convenientely located in the heart of the city. My friends and I ordered a pizza and to my surprise the pizza was not all that bad. This true Italian made pizza had cucumber slices, orange peppers and mushroom to compliment it. The red sauce was dabbed on lightly but not too light that you couldn’t taste it. It was a nice thin red tomato sauce which consisted of some herb seasoning. The cheese was light in taste and the dough cooked to a thin crisp texture. I could definitely taste the quality of the cheese on my first bite.

Zuccarelli’s Italian Kitchen West Palm Beach Did Not Close – They Moved Across the Street
I almost fainted last night when I arrived back into West Palm Beach and immediately headed towards one of my favorite Italian Restaurants in the West Palm area. Zuccarelli’s Italian Kitchen has been serving some of the best Italian Food and Pizza for over 20 years. We even had a #chevypizzacrawl there, to show people from South Florida just how good it was. When I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed that Zuccarelli’s was closed, and abandoned. After so many years of serving quality food, I couldn’t believe they were closed. My family and I pulled out of the shopping center in disbelief and disappointment.

Empire Pizza Fort Lauderdale, FL

After leaving a downton Fort Lauderdale street festival, I decided to stop at a place I had passed numerous times, and never stopped to try. Empire Pizza recently opened on the North West side of Broward Blvd. and US-1 in the CVS strip mall. I had recalled eating at another Empire Pizza at the Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise, but wasn’t sure if it was the same place. It appears they have moved from the Sawgrass Mall into this new location downtown.
When I walked in I noticed that there was only one slice of Sicilian and I overheard the guy before me order one, so I asked the pizza cook if he had any others. The pizza cook couldn’t seem to be any less enthusiastic. He basically ignored me and I walked further down the counter to get my answer. I happened to really like that Empire Pizza has their menus on a tv screen. This was a cool aspect. The girl by the register told me they had another Sicilian slice so I ordered one and one. After ordering I made my way to find a clean table, which was actually quite hard to find. For a place that wasn’t too crowded, the tables needed some cleaning since they were dirty in my opinion.

Maco’s Pizza & Pasta Dadeland Station South Miami

I decided to bring a group (you can read their reviews below) to rate Maco’s Pizza & Pasta in Dadeland Station. I didn’t want my opinion to be your only deciding factor to visit this hidden pizzeria.
For this visit we had two large pizzas, one margarita and one “Delight” (mushrooms). I found the pizzas to be “light”, perfectly cooked, and not greasy (I DIDN’T have to allocate a percentage of my napkins to whipping the grease off). The crust was even, a light tone and not soggy. The sauce has a sweet opening and ends with a light spicy kick. Overall, I don’t feel guilty or sick after.

Little Star Pizza San Francisco Best Pizza San Francisco
Being the best pizza in San Francisco is no small feat, especially when you are known for deep dish pizza. Ask anyone in San Fran for their favorite pizza and Little Star Pizza is ALWAYS mentioned.
The first thing to know if you plan on taking the trip to have some of their heavenly pizza is they are closed Mondays. Next understand the wait can be long and the parking can be terrible, but it’s worth it! A 2 hour wait is not uncommon. Once inside expect your pizza to take up to 30 minutes as well. And lastly a deep dish pizza for 2-3 with a topping and a couple of drinks will run you approximately $35. So why would anyone do this? Like I said its the best deep dish pizza in San Francisco – that’s why.
