My trip to Dallas appeared to start off good, when my host ordered in Peter’s Pizza for lunch. Peter’s seems to have a few locations around the Dallas suburbs, and this one came from their Colleyville location on 5003 Colleyville Blvd. 682.325.4046.

After a day of traveling, I ended up in Marshall, TX for the night. The motel clerk recommended Gucci’s Restaurant as having the good Italian food, as opposed to the Italian restaurant right across the street. After eating, I really hope Gucci’s can’t speak for all Italian restaurants in Texas.

Whatever caused the flaws with this pizza, it was totally unacceptable from what was recommended as the “good Italian restaurant.”  I’ve had better pizzas than this pie from the frozen food section at the Supermarket.

Back on March 8 I was attending www.sxsw.com and heading to one of the after parties when I had the craving for a slice of pizza. This was my first time in Austin, Texas and like all places I visit I grabbed a slice from the first place someone recommend to me which was Roppolo’s Pizzeria located here. I wasn’t even able to finish this rancid slice of pizza. It was all doughy and I have had frozen pizza which had better taste. Without being totally negative… Roppolo’s was better then the onion which I would rather have ellios next time I am in town then have this pizza again. I threw it out before I could even take a photo. Seems like a lot of people in Austin brag about Roppolo’s and maybe that is because they never ventured out to try other pizza places around the country, but for all the folks that consider this the best, I encourage you to get on a plane and try other pizzas before making such a bold statement.  I give this 1 slice out of 8.
