Hammys Pizza Portland Oregon

Nov 09 2008 by pizzaexpert

Hammy’s Pizza is a cute little start up pizza shop on SE Clinton. The vaguely anime/Japanese star graphic adorning their exterior caught my eye from the 10 bus one day as I was returning from downtown, and I made a note to get off and give it a shot the next time I found myself in the same situation. J and I were caught a little off guard when we first entered, primarily because we encountered a cavernous space that offered only carryout service. A huge oven, some stairs and a sink sparsely populated the area behind the counter. A drink refrigerator to the right of the register had a wide selection of Shasta beverages, which, as a connoisseur of discount carbonated beverages, I appreciated. The pizzaiolo was a young girl, exuding the excitement and nervousness one would expect from the proprietor of a new and risky business venture. She ran a glob of dough through a

Dalli’s Pizza Lake Mary Florida

Oct 31 2008 by MB

Recently I ordered take out from Dalli's Pizza in Lake Mary, FL. I ordered a half cheese/half meatball pizza. It was a pretty good pizza for the most part. The only problem was that the meatball half of the pizza was extra crispy, while the cheese half didn't seem to be cooked as much. Maybe they cooked the meatball side in a warmer part of the oven due to the extra toppings or maybe their oven needs some adjustments and cooks unevenly. Besides from the unevenly cooked crust, the pizza was pretty good. It also seems like there have been some changes in Dalli's.  The last two times I've gotten food here, it has been extremely noticeable that there is a completely new group of people working here compared to in the past.  I'm assuming there was some sort of ownership change, but regardless, the food is consistent with what it always has been in the past and the pizza is good!  I will give Dalli's

Pizza Time Boca Raton

Oct 27 2008 by Matt's Pizza

For an ex-New Yorker, South Florida has long been home of the Worst Pizza.  But indisputably, Pizza Time of Coral Springs, FL has stood out tall as being unlike the competition.  There pizza isn’t  good, it is GREAT. They brought a second location to Parkland, FL.  I am not sure if they were connected by the same owners, or family, or if it was just a similar name, but the Pizza Time in Parkland is also very good.  So it was with delight that Mrs. Pizza informed me, that in my very own hometown of Boca Raton Florida, at the location of a former Sal’s Pizza near The Fresh Market, she saw the following sign: Coming

Augy’s Pizza in Boca Raton Seems Spicier

Sep 04 2008 by pizzaexpert

Passed by Augy's Pizza in Boca Raton the other day, and stopped in with my son to have a pie.  As you might be aware from my previous post about Augy's in Boca Raton, they are known for their thin Sicilian. Augy's recently went through a change of ownership, but I have heard rummblings that the old owner is still there making pizza.  Although the pie looks the same, there was something different about the sauce.  It was a bit spicier then usual.  Wonder if they changed the recipe recently.  If they did, they should not fix something that isn't broken.  Maybe it was just a bad mix that day. The crust was perfect, crispy and tasty, and the cheese tastes like some of the f

Tomasso’s Boca Raton Separating Themselves From The Pizza Pack!

Aug 29 2008 by Billy

I was in the East Boca Raton area and decided to hit one of my favorite quicky lunch spots. I went to Tomasso's East Palmetto Park Location in Boca Raton, Fl. I know over the years there have been a few different Tomasso's pizza places in the Boca Raton Area but, I believe they were owned by different members of the Tomasso family. This Tomasso has moved on up. Tomasso's pizza is a quaint counter top service style pizza place. It is a friendly atmosphere where most customers and employees engage in conversation about the daily news events playing on the TV inside the store. This Tomasso's in Boca Raton has 6 or 7 counter top eating spots, about 4 or 5 inside tables, as well as 4 or 5 more outside tables.  I ordered 1 slice with meatball, well done (I love my pizza crispy) and if you have read my previous post about the slicing of meatballs for toppings, Tomasso
