Another place I have never recognized on Middle Country Road is La Grova Ristorante, and with good cause. Their shopping center backs to the road, which means the storefronts are in the back? Wonder what Einstein thought this layout up. Top tier city planners and architects I am sure.
Don’t judge this place by its backdoor from the road or from their website which was probably put up the day the internet became popular, and never updated since. The pizza is pretty good here.
The crust was awesomely crisp but lacked some of that tasty flavoring I look for. My advice would be to add a bit more sugar to your mix. That combined with a nice smooth sweet tasting sauce, made for a great lunch. The management could probably improve the overall quality of the cheese they are buying, since it kind of tasted bland. After a coating of Parmesan cheese, it tasted much better.
La Grova has been in the same location for 31 years, and after having a conversation with the nice owner, I could see why their customers keep coming back
La Grova Pizza in Lake Grove gets 5 out of 8 slices. It is a place I will continue to visit on my travels there.
