The idea of having a slice of Pizza at Ikea the other day was just too tempting. I mean, what could a put it together yourself store, possibly offer in the way of a $1.75 slice of pizza. After hearing good things about Joe Jamz Pizza in Hollywood from my sister and one of my editors at work, my dad, other sister and I decided to order in and try it out. I should have known from Pizza Expert that this was probably a mistake on our part, seeing as how the pizza definitely changes from sitting in the box for half an hour in the delivery car before it arrived to our door. It’s safe to say that I don’t think this pie would have tasted much better fresh in the restaurant either.

Mauro’s Pizza-By-The-Slice in Hollywood, Florida is located on 1904 Hollywood Blvd. It’s really simple why I love this slice of pizza: Cheap, greasy, huge delicious slices right next door to my favorite bar in Hollywood. Mauro is great because it knows exactly what it is. It’s a hole-in-the-wall, cash-only joint with outside-only seating that caters to the locals who’ve been out for a night of drinking and need some grease to line their stomachs to prevent an impending hangover.

I had to buy something at a local college bookstore called Raider Books in Lake Mary, FL. As I was making my purchase, the cashier told me to help myself to the free pizza and soda that the store was giving out. I’m not one to turn down free food, so I went over and got myself two slices.
