Whole Foods Market Boca Raton Better Then Publix Greenwise Pizza

. I walked over to try to find lunch and my pizza radar led me to the back left section of the store, where I found the pizza oven.
Whole Foods has one of these new beautiful ovens set back with a fancy facade. Their oven looked pretty similar to the one found at that dreaded Publix Greenwise market. I ordered a couple of slices and sat down to eat them at the store.
Although this pizza certainly was a "whole" lot of money, it wasn't worth the price. Quality wise, I would certainly pick this pizza over the crap they are serving at Publix Greenwise in Boca Raton, but if you are in the mood for a decent slice, at a decent price, this is not the place.
Here is the problem: The cheese had a certain tang to it, and although I do not doubt they are using fresh and quality ingredients, maybe the fancy healthy cheese they use actually doesn't blend well with their sauce, which leads me to to discuss the sauce mixture. Their sauce almost tasted like straight tomatoes (which I hate the taste of). There was nothing sweet or tasty about it, and almost bland. Where it wasn't bland it was almost spicy. Not sure how you can have zero taste in some spots, and over spicy in others, but obviously you are not applying your seasoning with care.
My visit to Whole Foods in Boca Raton leads me back to previous posts I have made here regarding fancy equipment. Don't waste your time on these expensive ovens, if you are going to put quality pizza into them. If you put crap in, you will get crap out, regardless of the amount of money you spend on the oven. I will give Whole Foods Market in Boca Raton 2 out of 8 slices.
