Miami’s Best Pizza – Wonder Who Gave Them This Title

.  So naturally I put it on my list of places to definitely try when in the area.

Well the day arrived when we hopped in the car and took the trek down there to check this place out.  Upon entering Miami's Best Pizza, you can quickly see that they are not lying about how long they have been open.  The place hasn't been changed since the first day I bet.  But that is ok, since it had this "pizza joint" kind of feel to it.

After figuring out the lay of the land, I noticed the pizza counter to be all the way to the right of the establishment.  Kind of an odd placement for the counter, but I am not architect.  Miami's Best Pizza, certainly was not hurting for business.  The place was impressively jammed, and had a constant stream of people walking in and out.  I do however find it surprising that they have this steady clientele...

They had no slices when we walked up to the counter, so we ended up having to order a pie.  We also ordered some Garlic Knots.  We paid and walked around the place to the pickup counter to find our seats.  All of their seating is like picnic style.  Long narrow tables, with benches.  While waiting (seemed like forever) for our food, I noticed they had an abundance of signs EVERYWHERE telling parents to watch their kids.  This must be the most unfriendly kid place in South Florida.  Look at these photos to see for yourself:

As you can see, this place seems to really dislike families eating there.  I would never take my kids here after seeing these signs.  What gives?

I asked for my Garlic Knots to be given to us before the pizza, so we can eat them as appetizers.  They never showed.  So I walked up to the pick up counter and waited for someone to actually pay attention to me.  During this time I was able to listen to all the customers on the other side of the pick up counter complaining about their orders, and how long they were taking.  Several asked for their money back, and others just walked out in disgust?  How does a place last for this many years with so many upset patrons.  It must be the pizza.....NOT.  So the pizza finally came, and the garlic knots didn't.  I asked them to cancel the order and they said "oh here they are" and gave them to me anyways.  These garlic knots we rancid, but I will not review them here.

As you can see by the photos, this pizza was extremely undercooked, and utterly soggy.  It was pretty awful to lift up and take to the mouth. What cheese and sauce didn't fall off onto our paper plates, actually tasted decent.  Sauce was sweet, and crust had an ok taste to it.  Was kinda difficult to say exactly how good it could have been, since it was so darn soggy.  Will have to go back and just order a slice for reheat next time to see if it gets any better.

Miami's Best Pizza in Miami gets 4 out of 8 slices.
