Why does every single place I eat at claim to be Rated #1??

Went with Gary to Jerry's Pizzeria in Boca Raton yesterday for lunch.  I have stayed away from Jerry's in the past due to the rancid condition of the shopping center, but Gary said it was good in the past so I figured I would give it a shot.  It was very uncomforting to know that the inside of the place was almost as unpleasant as the outside!  We ordered some garlic knots and a Sicilian pie with meatballs (they forgot the meatballs, so we had to send it back).  The pizza was actually pretty decent!  The crust was very doughy but in a good tasting way.  Cheese was good and the sauce was sweet.  I found there to be a bit too much crust though and not as much pizza, which is something I would change during preparation of the pie.  As you can see by the above photo, the crust took up a good portion of the overall pie.  If I closed my eyes and pictured I was eating in a clean place and probably didn't have roaches fighting each other on the wall I would have enjoyed this place an immense amount more.

I will give Jerry's Pizzeria in Boca Raton 5 out of 8 slices.  Tip for Jerry:  CLEAN UP A BIT
