After all these years I finally went for a walk through Florida Atlantic University FAU with my son to show him around a bit. I never realized how big the campus was, nor did I know they had a food court on premise. Once we reached the food court, my son, like usual, decided he was hungry. We wandered around a little bit to see what there was to eat and ultimately decided upon Papa John's Pizza, just to grab something quick.
Can't exactly say the foreigner behind the counter was friendly, actually I found him a bit arrogant. We ordered two slices and a soda (they had a special) and thought we would have to wait a bit. This wasn't the case, the pizza was served to us luke warm.
Yes, as you can tell by the above photo that instead of giving me two boxes, the franchisee cheaped out and put both slices on top of each other. This further elaborates that the pizza was luke warm and he was well aware of it. If the pizza was actually cooked in my opinion, the cheese would melt into the crust of the slice placed on top of it.
As you can imagine, the pizza at this Papa John's in the Florida Atlantic University Food Court was sub par. The cheese tasted processed, the dog soggy, and the sauce average at best. I do not think I would personally ever eat there again, even if it is the only pizzeria located there. I would personally rather go to OIP down the block.
Papa John's you have once again amazed me with the lack of pride you put into your pizza sometimes, at least in my opinion. It is one thing to put unfriendly employees behind the counter, but another thing to serve a product that supposedly has better ingredients. Sure you have a captive audience on campus, but you certainly aren't buying customer loyalty once they graduate.
Papa John's Pizza in Florida Atlantic University gets 2 out of 8 slices.
