Macaroni Grill Boca Raton Pizza
Slice Rating
The Macaroni Grill changed their pizza a while back, hoping to sell more since the previous version was pretty hideous. They reached out to me several times asking if I would like to be a part of their focus group but I never heard back from them. The other day I realized that they did in fact change their pizza and decided to try a piece of my friends pie to see if anything changed for the better.
Unlike most of the pizza I eat, my buddy ordered his pizza at the Macaroni Grill with pepperoni. The Primo Pepperoni Pizza came with artisan pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, and parmesan cheese. I usually do not like the smell of Pepperoni so I managed to use a knife and fork and out out a slice that was plain.
In my previous review of the pizza here at The Macaroni Grill in Boca Raton, I just couldn't believe how awful it was. My oh my have things changed. This pizza didn't have a single thing reminiscent of the old garbage they used to serve and pass off as pizza. This pizza was actually quite decent.
Let's start with the dough. The nicely cooked and charred crust was tasty and crispy. It had the makings of being cooked in a wood oven but I neglected to check on my way out or ask the server. The cheese was extremely fresh and nice tasting along a sweet and smooth sauce. A little parmesan added a nice touch.
I am not saying that I would specifically crave the pizza here, and feel the desire to rush back just to have this, but I can tell you one thing, if I am ever eating there I would definitely order a pizza from there again. Of course I would order it plain though.
The Macaroni Grill Pizza in Boca Raton gets 5 out of 8 slices.
