Italian Street Festival in Boca Raton at Community Table

We were delighted to hear that the first ever Italian Street Festival in Boca Raton was taking place this weekend. This event will be put on by Community Table (home of the Craig Pizza) and Amici D' Italia. It is nice to see some new food events happening in South Florida and I know many of us will be there to sample the food and enjoy the day.

The festivities will be this Sunday (Father's Day) from 12:00pm-6:00pm in front and on the side of Community table which is located NW 2nd Avenue. The beautiful thing about this outdoor event is that it will also benefit a wonderful charity called Christine’s Hope for Kids.

Although there will be a plethora of activities for kids to enjoy, including a bounce house, snow cone machine, balloon art, face painting and bocce ball, we are more interested in the Pizza (as expected).  If Dads or kids are up to testing their stomachs, they can participate in the Pizza Challenge- eat a whole pizza in under 12 minutes to win a free shirt and $25 gift card to Community Table. Food specialties include traditional Italian pizza and Community Table’s original menu to satisfy all Italian lovers.

A percentage of the proceeds from the Italian Street Festival will be used towards Christine’s Hope For Kids, a not-for-profit organization that helps less fortunate children and supports local community agencies that work with and benefit children.

We hope to meet many readers in person and see this event happen annually if it is successful. We spoke to Andrew Stellino, the owner of Community Table and it sounds like there will be some excitement in Boca Raton for a change. Make sure you try The Craig pizza if they are serving it and let us know below what you think of the taste.
