When In Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, this last week for the holiday, I asked my friends who has the best pizza around the Myrtle Beach area. All of the responded with Gino's Pizza! So, without hesitation I said let's go. When we pulled up to Gino's Real New York Pizza, I instantly said "now this  is totally what you want to see." The place is clean and simple  You are first greeted by Gino himself to take your order.

Gino is probably around 65 years old, and looks just like the character Mario from Nintendo game Mario Bros and donkey kong, if Mario was covered in pizza flour. Right away you get the sense you going to get real New York style pizza made by REAL New Yorkers who have been doing this for decades and just happen to enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle down here in Myrtle Beach.

If you're looking to grab a pie, look no further. The pies at Gino's Real New York Pizza are large (20", 18", and 16") incredibly delicious and  hot. Each slice is thin, beautiful and like you remember growing up....if you are from New York at least.  Good cheese, probably a grande blend. Nice amount of sauce and not oily.  Even at 3pm on a holiday weekend seating was tight as they are a smaller store front so you might want to take-out. Like I said, it's not a fancy place. It's just your typical New York slice joint with like 10-15 booths, and everyday its a 2 slice and drink combo for 5 bucks.  So my boys called this one right. So When in myrtle see Gino and get a slice of ny you'll be happy you did.
