, otherwise known as EPI, is home to wood-burning oven pizza. Throughout the years, I have always enjoyed eating EPI's thin crust pizza, especially its "Special," which consists of sausage, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms.

The best part about EPI pizza is the crust, with its fantastic crispiness and pleasantly plain taste. The oven also ensures that the the cheese and toppings are never soggy. Everything does taste fresh, and I enjoy how all the parts of the pizza complement each other--but is EPI pizza worth the price?

I never really thought about the price too much before, but after eating the pizza recently and fairly analyzing it afterwards--I don't think it was completely worth the price. A 14 inch Special was $20 with tax, and while that won't break your bank, you can find other pizza places that taste about as good for less.

The bottom line is this: If you're visiting Edison Park-Chicago for a night, feel free to have pizza at EPI. Have a beer or 12 too; it can be a pretty fun place to visit. If you're not dead-set on eating wood-burning pizza, I might visit Moretti's next door instead.
