While out visiting the family in Long Island, my sister took me to a birthday party for one of her friends children at Boomers in Medford Long Island.  Boomers is not known for their pizza, but rather for their arcade and rides for children, so let's make sure we start the review off knowing this.  My original purpose of this visit was not for pizza.  The fact they had pizza was an added benefit.

When the pizza came, I was at first reluctant to have any since I knew I would be traveling throughout other points of Long Island to try some other places with Greg.  But watching everyone else eat made me hungry so I found the smallest slice and ate it.  The crust was crispy, the cheese was hot and the dough was soft.  It was actually pretty good considering the venue.  Obviously I am not recommending to go to Boomers (we also have a Boomers in Boca Raton) to get a slice of pizza.  If you happen to be at a party there and you are hungry, it is worth eating.  Compared to other places around that offer similar quality of pizza, I would have to say Boomers is above average.

Boomers gets their pizza from an outside supplier who delivers to many types of places of this caliber, so there is a chance you can also find this pizza at other places.  It is easily recognizable by the mixture of cheese they use.  It is certainly not mozzarella cheese. Therefore, my obvious suggestion to the company that makes the pizza for Boomers, is to stop using that processed stuff and get into better quality.  The dough is a bit thick, and needs to be thinned out more before baking and rising.  I will give Boomers in Medford Long Island 3 out of 8 slices.
