#PizzaTweetup at Pizza D’Angelo Fort Lauderdale

7 / 8

Thanks to everyone for another successful and fun #pizzatweetup. Although it was quite hot in the place due to so many pizza lovers, the owner and staff of Pizza D’Angelo in Fort Lauderdale served up enough pizza to fill the bellies of over 65 attendees, and needless to say the pizza was great! It was awesome to see so many new faces in attendance as well as old friends. This is what Tweetups are for, not to try to rip off those in attendance, but rather to provide them with a reason to gather, and have an overall good time. I know I for one, had a blast. If you have any photos you would like for me to share on this post, please go ahead and send them in and I will be happy to display them and give you the proper credit.

Check out the photos below:

My personal favorite pizza of the evening was the plain pie they served early on. Upon listening to most in Pizza D’Angelo though, it would appear that the fig pizza was the crowd pleaser. Definitely not something I would have tried though, so I will have to take their words for it. If you have a favorite pizza you tried at this event please tell me a bit about what you liked so much about the particular pizza you tried.

Angelo, I want to personally thank you on behalf of everyone who came for your hospitality and generous amount of free pizza that you served us. The manager Jim was extremely attentive to our every needs, and it made for a delightful evening. I further want to thank you sincerely for the 4 gift cards you gave to us to raffle off.

Marc Kaplan donated Green Lantern paraphernalia as well as some Radio Shack merchandise and I give him a huge +1 for that! Miami Living Magazine donated Florida Marlins Baseball tickets. Its a great publication (and not just because I write for it). Chris Tiedje donated Sun-Sentinel subscriptions, which was totally unexpected and very much appreciated. CharmedByLinda once again donated a beautiful piece of hand crafted jewelry. Sharon Morgenstern even donated a $150 photo session at her first ever #pizzatweetup!

See you all next month!
