Thanks to everyone for coming out last night to Grande Pizza in Boca Raton and making the first #pizzatweetup of 2011 a huge success. Almost 60 people showed up throughout the night to enjoy some pretty amazing pizza. For those of you who tried their signature Detroit Style – Crusty Cheese Pizza, I am sure you would agree that it is a delicious and unique pie. It was one of the reason we chose Grande Pizza this time around.
Many attendees weren’t aware that Grande Pizza also owns Esposito’s Pizza in Davie, and that they are two of the only places down in the ENTIRE South Florida region that makes this “Detroit Style” pizza.
Several attendees were fortunate enough to walk away with prizes and gift certificates. Congrats to @amyvitale for winning the Charmed By Linda bracelet generously donated by @bige54 wife! @stacismail brought 3 free tickets to the Deerfield Beach Wine and Food Festival. These were won by @waybeyondbagels and @bdubrow. Huge thanks to Staci and her contact at the festival for offering such an expensive prize. @keithsoifer gave away a free hour tennis lesson which was won by our new PizzaTweetup friend Alex. Grande Pizza even gave away 6 gift certificates on top of all the free pizza. The lucky recipients of the 3 $25.00 gift cards were @beahbunnie @thedougmovement @elliem72. @dee_deez won a $15.00 gift certificate, and @jungljim & @sexxxyrnrach each won $10.00. @technomensch gave 2 sets of 2 passes to see a new upcoming movie (I forgot the name tsk tsk).
All and all it was one of our best events to date, and I want to thank Grande Pizza for making everyone feel at home, and for not skimping out on the quanitiy of food provided. Everytime I turned my head there were 6 new pizzas sitting on the counter, and they were fresh and hot. Adding the wings to the mix was just an added bonus, and something that shows your confidence in the quality of the food you serve.
If you guys haven’t been to Grande Pizza or Esposito’s Pizza, you are missing out on some amazing pizza.
If you have any photos you would like to share with everyone, please send them through to me and I will post them here!
