Zuccarelli’s Italian Kitchen West Palm Beach Did Not Close – They Moved Across the Street

I almost fainted last night when I arrived back into West Palm Beach and immediately headed towards one of my favorite Italian Restaurants in the West Palm area. Zuccarelli's Italian Kitchen has been serving some of the best Italian Food and Pizza for over 20 years. We even had a #chevypizzacrawl there, to show people from South Florida just how good it was. When I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed that Zuccarelli's was closed, and abandoned. After so many years of serving quality food, I couldn't believe they were closed. My family and I pulled out of the shopping center in disbelief and disappointment.

While making a u-turn onto Okeechobee Blvd. to head towards The Florida Turnpike, my wife noticed that Zuccarelli's is now located in the shopping center directly across Okeechobee Blvd. on the north side, in a somewhat more rundown shopping center named Pine Trail. After pulling into this rather hideous plaza, we eventually found Zuccarelli's on the east side of the plaza, about halfway down. The new address is

Zuccarelli's Italian Kitchen
4595 Okeechobee Blvd.
West Palm Beach, FL 33417

Apparently like most of the landlords with tons vacant space, Zuccarelli's landlord tried to jack up the price, so much so, that they weren't able to afford to stay there. Now the previous landlord, has another empty bay, and Zuccarelli's is doing the same amount of business across the street.  Why are some landlords so dumb, that they choose to loose a tenant of 20 years over a few bucks. Now the landlord gets what he rent in that space.

Good luck at your new location Ralph, you are a class act, and deserve the best.

Just found your site. I’m a blogger based in Lauderdale too. Going to follow your tweets now. We like Jet’s pizza on Federal.

PGA location closed because of RUDE owner!  Olimpia Zuccarelli is the MAIN REASON why Zuccarelli’s on PGA closed!
It’s very sad that she does not take after her mom. Not only did ‘apple
fall’ very far from the tree, it fell off the planet! I went to this
location on PGA twice. Once was because I wanted to hear the live music
and find out how good the food was. Well, the only thing I got that
night was great singing by this Italian guy she had. But the service
was terrible. So I gave them another chance. I went back later in the
year. The music was not good this time because she had another guy
singing, but he was too loud and didn’t even compare to the first guy I
heard. But that’s okay because the food should be the main reason. On
this second visit, not only was the service still bad, but she (Olimpia)
was a terrible hostess! She was very rude, unfriendly and very
unprofessional! It’s no wonder this place closed. In her case, it
wasn’t the economy, it was her being a terrible person! I’m Italian and
I’m insulted by her behavior. Her mother would never treat customers
this way. You’re suppose to take pride in the food you serve and in the
service you provide. Olimpia is a TERRIBLE example of this! She was
more concerned with having “events” at her restaurant than the food that
came out of her kitchen! A friend of mine told me she had an event
called “Sex and the City” because of the release of the movie. This was
one case where the event was to try and make her look good and all she
did was look foolish! Her mom would never have done this and that’s why
the location her mom runs…continues. Now that Olimpia is working
with her mom again, I can only hope that her mom keeps her on a short
leash! Otherwise we will lose this location too.
