It was the most memorable pizza crust I’ve had in recent times. Do you know that feeling you get when you eat a piping hot slice of cheese pizza and your teeth sink gently through the runny, gooey cheese but are then halted by the delight of a fluffy yet crunchy, buttery crust that lies beneath? That’s what a pizza experience is like at Little Venice on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk.

If you’re a frequenter of Hollywood Beach, then you know it is no challenge to find a place along the broadwalk that serves pizza. You can get it anywhere, which makes it more challenging to weed out the crappy places. If you’re on the south end, you’ve gotta make it to this place.

My sister and I and her two young kids were able to walk there, sit immediately, order a pitcher of beer (which came with frosty mugs) and watch the kids play on the sand while we waited for our food. The pie arrived scorching hot, but that was welcomed because of what the pie looked like. You could tell the crust was awesome with its slight char and beautiful golden color. They use the perfect amount of spice on top of the cheese and the sauce was a pleasant compliment. Letting it sit for a while slightly diminished the integrity of the slice, so eat this one while it’s hot or be sure to reheat. Other than that, I can’t wait to come back. A large pie that I'm still dreaming about, a beachy venue and great service earns Little Venice 7 out of 8 slices.

Are you freaking kidding me with this joint? Little Venice is a pizza place that has a nice location (next door to the paddleball courts – Garfield Street) but is far from a 7 slice nomination!

Their pizza is what I would call mediocre beach style pizza given that fact that there are only 2-3 pizza establishments along the entire boardwalk worthy of even eating at during the day let alone evening.

In addition, if your readers think I am just a one time patron of Hollywood beach – guess again! I have been swimming and tanning at Johnson Street/Hollywood beach ever since the Army Citidal was torn down from the middle of the FIRST circle. Wwe went to rocky Horror picture shows at Sears mall theater, and Young Circle consisted of the Grey Hound and city bus terminals.

Finally, I consider myself to be a very good judge of pizza in and around the Southern Florida area. I once drove 4 1/2 hours just to taste some good pie! I love yoru site and love the reviews but I must disagree with you on this one and give Venice 5 slices!

You’ve got the wrong place. Little Venice is off of Indiana. Next to the paddleball courts was Angelo’s, though it’s called something different now.

You can’t survive for very long on Hollywood Beach with a poor quality product, and Little Venice has been there, same owner, since 1987!

Wrong place Geno! Indiana St and Broadwalk is Little Venice. Walt’s got great pizza and being the fact that I used to operate Frank and Mario’s there back in the 90’s I should know!! Try to get to the right place, then re-post.
