Boca’s Best Pizza Boca Raton

Recently, Big Louie's closed down in Boca Raton. I wasn't sure if this was due to their lack of quality tasting pizza, or all the rodents that probably infest this decrepit shopping center, which is located right near the train tracks on Palmetto Park Road.

Although I never got the full story as to why Big Louie's closed their Boca location, I cannot say they are missed.  I never thought I would see another pizza place open up in their spot, since it is so dirty looking from the outside.  Well they say there is a match for everyone, and I guess the new owners of Boca's Best Pizza found their match and opened up this new pizza place a month or so ago.

I went in the other day to check it out, and ordered a slice to take with me.  It was a bit upsetting for me to see them using this conveyor belt oven, which is open on both sides to cook their pies.  They should have spent the money and gotten a quality oven in order to make a quality pie.  Why would you buy a pizza place, and just use whatever crappy equipment helped the last place fail?  It just doesn't make sense.

When my slice was pulled out of this conveyor belt contraption, I instantly noticed how perfectly rolled and rounded the outer crust was.  Cannot recall the last time I saw someone spend so much time to make it so artistic.  It actually gave me the impression that the whole slice was thick like this.  Upon my first bite, it became quite clear that this slice was nice and thin.  Very crisp, but with the texture of the bottom of the conveyor belt metal screen from the oven.  The slice did not contain much sauce, but what I did taste was decent. What I didn't really care for, was how burnt this slice was.  They left the slice in the oven for too long and the cheese even tasted burnt by the time I ate it.  Let alone the crust...

I think if Boca's Best Pizza can manage to get a new oven in there, or at least learn to cook properly in the remnant oven they posses, they have the opportunity to make a decent slice.  It would be nice to see this place stay in business, as it appears it is owned by brothers, and most of the staff family members.  And we always want to see a family run pizza joint make it.

Most Memorable Things:

  • They are open until 2am!  Nice to be able to get a slice that late if you need one
  • Family run and operated
  • Friendly staff

Least Memorable Things:

  • Dirty shopping center
  • Terrible oven
  • $2.93 is way too much for the slice I ate

I tried Bocas Best Pizza and I gotta say it truely is the BEST Pizza I have ever eaten. That “Liquid Gold” sauce that comes with it is absolutly sinful. The most friendly staff and the fact that they are open untill 2am is deffinatly a plus. Everything in Boca closes at ten, soo there is no competition. The restaurant shares a parking lot with 7-11 so i can see why pizzaexpert was not satisfied with the shopping mall but the location couldnt be better. Since experiencing the pizza I have become a regular and when I cant make it in, they deliver up untill 2am (incredible) and the pizza is just as good.

Good. Your review is spot on, i felt that the pizza was good, but it needed to be less burnt. other than that the people who work there really are nice. personally i give it a 7 of 10 with the opportunity to improve; unlike yourself i got too much sauce – not cool if the pizza's name isn't margherita. Anyhow despite what is probably the owner's comments down below; the liquid gold stuff really is that good, and turned the pizza from a probable 6 to a definate 8 as i couldnt taste the lack of cheese. Comon fellas use more cheese! less sauce more cheese. And fresh slices is the key.. reheating only up to 1 hour after the pizza is out after that…. anyhow i hope you guys stay in town as you have a loyal fan compared to the shit around here.. just saying constructive criticism! hope you grow!

I totally agree with the people commenting. I'm from North New Jersey so I'm used to pizza from there and NYC. Pretty much any pizza from Florida tastes like crap in comparison (I think it's the water). But Boca's Best was not only the FIRST pizza that ever came close to the stuff we have at home, but it actually tastes like home!!

I'm so impressed and you've definitely gained a loyal customer. In fact my fiance (also from Jersey) and I will be ordering some for dinner tonight!!!

Thanks for making pizza that doesn't actually suck for one!!

You are out of your mind. There pizza is great! The sandwiches are the best I have ever tasted. They make there own bread. There pasta was exeptionally good. I'm Italian and the lasgna was out of this world. It is worth a try. Don't listen to this critic!!!!

You are an idiot that thinks way to highly of his own thoughts. There are many different ways to cook, and equipment to get it done. You can use a grill to cook an amazing pizza if you know what your doing and Best Best does. Unlike an online critic with no consequence to those he serves, these people prove themselves by keeping everyone happy enough pay. While in your I case I would demand a refund for deficient product. Thanks for nothing!

That is a bit harsh, calling me names for no reason? You think you can get as good quality out of a conveyor belt oven as you can from a bakers pride?

I got a Pizza for take out the other day because I found a coupon and figured I would check it out. I got a large pie with two toppings, and asked for a side of sauce. When I got it home, the side of sause in the box(thinking it was pizza sauce), was freezer tasting burnt melted butter with a ton of salt on the bottom. The topping were scarce at best, and the Pizza was barely cooked and all doughy. We ate some, but it was really poor at best. To top it off I had heart burn all night from it. They will not make it with a lousy product like that!

They should change your name… Horrible customer service here – Ordered takeout at restaurant and they said it would be 25 mins. Checked in after 25 mins and was told just a few more minutes. After 45 minutes, checked again and was told sorry it seems we lost your ticket??? We will make your pizza in 10 minutes. Really expected them to comp my pizza, but instead they gave me the same coupons that they give everyone else, and made it sound like they were doing something for me. Really. When the manager brings me the pizza, she says is there anything that I can do for you and I said you should’ve refunded me for this pizza. She then says, and this is classic, “We just can’t give away pizza.” I expected more, but then again, I guess the manager isn’t empowered to show customers that the restaurant cares and does the right thing when they screw up.
