Bobby’s Pizza Port St. Lucie

My husband and I have been fans of Bobby’s Pizza in Port St. Lucie for years. My husband hails from Long Island, and like all pizza lovers from New York, he complained for a long time about how sub-par the quality of the pizza was. That was until we found Bobby’s! This is the first place down here that actually tastes like NY Pizza.

On this visit we ordered the 16″ Plain Pizza. The bottom of the crust was thin enough to be firm and crunchy without breaking apart as we lifted it to our mouths. It was thick enough for a good chew once in the mouth! The top edge of the crust was firm and big enough to hold, while maintaining a soft texture and managing not to be too chewy. The overall crust flavor was exactly like a good quality pizza crust should taste! Light bread flavor; no fancy seasonings; not too salty.

The sauce tastes like a fresh tomato sauce; well-seasoned to have a full flavor without being too strong. Somewhat thick, in a good way!

The cheese was applied generously; cooked until just lightly browned – not burned. Remained chewy/stringy like mozzarella should.

I give them 6 out of 8 slices

Having heard some good things about Bobby's pizza, we were SADLY disappointed. The two Grandma's sicilian pizzas we ordered were more than $22 each with just five toppings!! To make matters worse, they were WAAAAYYYY overbaked – bottom crust so hard you couldn't cut it with a knife and the ends were inedible. A total waste of $60+ and a night out to eat. Even telling the server that the pizza was burnt (I mean, there were BLACK burnt marks ALL over the bottom and sides of the crust) didn't elicit a suitable response. We also got a good look at the cook – is there a reason for wearing a dirty apron below a completely gross, dirty t-shirt? Too bad! We like to patronize local businesses, but Bobby's won't take our money twice.

just to let you know if you know anything about bobbys grandmas sicilians it is a very crunchy thin pizza. if you didnt know what you were ordering than how can u blame them for cooking it the way they make it. i believe that people who may not have been satisfied should also take into account what they ordered and take it upon themselves to better know the menu beforethey order, and stop bashing businesses, for trying to make a living, with the ignorance of a spoiled child. all in all i believe people like u create an atmosphere of negativity that bobbys neither deserves or wants and all of your credit as a patron should be dismissed. also, the persistent sight to sight bashing while not taking your ignorance into consideration is just distasteful, and you should really be ashamed.
