Orchid Island Pizzeria Vero Beach Pizza
October 5th, 2009 - By: Matt's Pizza
When we checked into the Disney Vero Beach Resort we were given the menu for Orchid Island Pizzeria. Curiously, there a disclaimer placed on the menu that Disney’s
Vero Beach Resort does not endorse or promote this establishment.

We ordered the pizza and were told it would take an hour and 20 mins. And
it did.
The pizza was good, but there was a slightly off taste to the seasoning. The crush was undercooked and it just totally failed the fold a slice test. The cheese was decent quality and the crust really didn’t taste too bad.Reminded me of bad pizza in NY suburbs. Which is good, right? Better than bad dominoes.
They delivered to Disney vero beach hotel, but knowing that they can only bring it to lobby, you’d think they would bring a bag for sodas and extras. I ended up having to carry the soda, pizza, plates etc all the way across the hotel to my room.
And while I appreciate free delivery usually, what’s up with $1 delivery?
Orchid Island Pizza gets 4 out of 8 slices.

We live here and we order again and again. We don't need impatient, angry tourist downing an establishment who caters to locals!!
I take it you don't go out that much. Many hotels do leave menus in their rooms of close by restaurant. And most don't endors them. It's normal and just a little extra.
Now for the taste, their pizza is good, not the best nor the worst. But far better than some well known pizzeria. Sure if you left your order at the reception for too long, it does alter the taste.
Now if you think about it, if you has to wait more than hour for your order, don't you think it is because A LOT OF PEOPLE enjoy their pizza
Maybe you shouldn't travel too far from your home as you seems to complain way too much.
I wasn't impatient, angry or a tourist. I live and work in the general area. We went here as sort of a “staycation.” I was very happy and relaxed.
I get out very much, just pointing out the irony of the sticker. I think we actually agree in the pizza, good, not the best or worst, but better than Dominos.
I am a year-round resident and live about 2 miles, south of Orchid Island Pizza. Their home-delivery service seems to be OK and the overall quality of the pizza certainly could be worse. I'm originally from NY/NJ and have a basic sense of quality pizza. From a scale of 1-10, I'll give them a 6 — for now.

I've been to my fair share of Pizza joints. This place is a little kitchen and no real dine-in facility, but when I had their Chicken Parmesian Pizza, I was stunned. I can not say it is the best pizza in the State, but I am pretty confident when I say that it is the best local pizza I have had here in over 5 years.
I like it.
