Description

dominics_pizza.jpgdomincs.jpgThis pizza tasted great.  Let’s start off with that.  The Dominic’s located by the turnpike on Glades, 8177 West Glades Road 561.487.3186 has to be the best of the Dominic stores.  We will review the Dominic’s II later in the week, but for now we will focus on Tony and this location he runs.

On this visit, my son and I went to grab a couple of slices before going to some stores.  Since we were heading out west, I suggested we go to Dominic’s Pizza.  When we sat down I ordered 2 Sicilian slices.  I could not believe how good they tasted this trip.  The cheese tasted incredible, there was a perfect amount of sauce under it, and the crust was crispy, yet airy.  I never had such an amazing slice like this before.  We have since gone back 3 times, just to get Sicilian slices during the weekend. I keep forgetting to find out what cheese he uses on the Sicilian pies, because it tastes great, and he uses the perfect amount.

Dominic’s I by the turnpike, could easily have one of the best Sicilian style slices in Boca Raton.  If you can get past all the nagging, complaining, patrons who pack this place nightly, you are in for a treat.  The owner happens to be one of the few of his kind around these parts.  He actually remembers who his regulars are and makes sure he sends over something to the table to thank them for waiting patiently and coming back.  That is a very classy thing to do, and something 99% of the other pizza owners down here neglect.  This must be why there is always a wait there after 5pm.

Dominic’s Pizza gets 6 out of 8 slices!

Look at that. You give rave reviews to this place and then you give them just 6 of 8 slices. What an idiot.
If only you could have seen the jaws drop and eyebrows raise in disbelief when you said, “If you can get past all the nagging, complaining, patrons”! OMG, what a hypocrite! After reading other reviews on WorstPizza(site).com it's clear that you are the King of whiners. In this review you praise an airy crust, where in other reviews you complain about it.
You're entitled to your opinion just as anyone else is, but you sure ain't no “pizza expert”
It's nice to read this review and see your compliments to their restaurant and I think that the pizza looks great, just as it does in so very many pizzerias all around the area. It's great that pizza comes in so many different variations.
In my opinion you should give them 7 or 8 slices since you love their stuff so much.

Have you tried this place? The owner is a real decent guy!

Light and airy is good when there is a quality taste to the dough. Some places make light and airy taste like bread. I am sure you ha e experieced both

I have always liked this place, I was turned off because you cant go order a slice without a waitress, but since every place does that I should put them back in my repetoire.

Jimsock, what is wrong with you? Why do you consider a 6 out of 8 a bad thing??? What has the Pizza Expert ever whined about? He has legitimate complaints. Have you ever been to this restaurant? Do you understand how some Boca customers treat a waitstaff??? Don't tell the expert how to rate pizza, and he won't tell you how to rate socks!

Sounds like you're the gay boyfriend…….don't get excited, idiot…..he's all yours.
    P.S.
“Expert”? He doesn't know CRAP about pizza. Fact. What has he whined about? Obviously you haven't done enough reading on this “site”.

I agree with jimsock, this guy has no idea what he is talking about when it comes to pizza. He is just some rich fag, that goes around Boca criticizing and damaging people place of business. If he were a real food critic, than the owners of the pizza shops around town should not know who he is, and make special pizzas or orders for him. Being anonymous is the most important part of being a food critic.

Many times I am noticed after my review from the little cartoon. If you know more about pizza, freely send us in a review and show your expertise. I am not looking to damage anyones business, as a matter of fact, I have helped dozens of local places, and received thanks time and time again. If the pizza owners (like you) weren't such neanderthals and learned how to used the social tools that are available to them, they would dramatically increase their business. So instead of coming on here and attacking the reviewer or the commenters, they should learn how to listen to what people are saying and improving their food.

Maybe I am not a “food critic” but I certainly know good pizza, and many of the places I say suck, actually do suck. If any of those places, including your own, want to get help, just contact me.

I happened to wander upon Dominick’s last night with my Sister and we ended up having some of the best Italion at a Pizzaria that I have ever had! I had the Chicken Parmigiana Dinner and my Sister had a Sausage Parm. sub. It was So Good that I ordered a Meatball Parm to go for my Husband who is Italion adn he was Impressed. The Service was fantastic and the Restaurant itself was very comfortable and Clean. One last thing the Garlic rolls are Amazing! Thanks :)
