The First PizzaTweetup at Tucci’s Pizza Boca Raton

After tweeting about it for a month, we finally held the first PizzaTweetup in South Florida. Last night 34 pizza lovers from Twitter gathered at Tucci’s Pizza in Boca Raton.
A little history on how the event came to be. Tucci’s Pizza recently opened up where Red Rock Pizza used to be in Boca.
After trying Alberto “tucci’s” pizza, I was amazed with how good it tasted. I suggested that maybe he presents his pizza to a targeted group of pizza lovers from Twitter, who could help spread their Tucci’s Pizza experience after they tasted a slice. Alberto loved the idea and we started to think of the best night to have the tweetup.
So at 7pm, we gathered in front of Tucci’s and walked in together to find out seats. I was so happy to see @surflocal and @allisonross come down from West Palm Beach, and @vicequeenmaria, @modulista, & @enzobalc come up from Miami. I am sure I am missing plenty of the other attendees who came from all over, but just wanted to plug a few names. After a little bit of a wait, and many drinks later for many, Alberto and his staff started to serve the group some complimentary pizza. Needless to say, everyone loved the pizza. This was honestly a great event, with some awesome people. I am not just saying this since I organized it. Everyone was extremely social to one another, no shortage of mingling, and what a better way to do it then over some delicious pizza.
Thank you to everyone who came and made this event what it was. We will start planning on monthly pizzatweetups, and Alberto has offered out his place to us on a Monday, when he is normally closed! That is how much fun he even had.

I have been to Tucci's several times. The pizza is the best and the service is spectacular!
By far THE BEST pizza in Boca Raton! Oh, and you'd better save room for the cannolis!
I am dying to eat here here based on the success of the review and the tweetup event by Worst Pizza, and one day on a splurge, I will! Trust me I will, and am dying to try it.
I am still searching for a down-to-earth place that serves up something as equally as awesome in a modest environment like your review of Delorenzo's Pizza in NJ , way up north of here, and I tried it, and it was the best so far.
I am wooting for Tucci's success, despite the price.

I'm another fan, and was happy to see this website when I looked around. The pizza is exceptional, and my wife and I really enjoy the staff.
Trust me you'll enjoy it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they can make, as we need a really great pizza in Boca!
Do you know if they sell pizza by the slice at lunch time? I went over there Monday and they were closed.
Unfortunately they do not sell slices at all. Only small pies and large pies. They are a bit pricey, but pretty damn good!
Also they are closed every Monday.
Ok, thank you. Guess I'll have to suffer through more than one slice!

What a great idea! I am new to the area and accident;y stumbled upon WP while searching for the “best” pizza places in the area. The hubby and I would certainly love to meet some new freinds and have some great pizza! I have held out on signing up for twitter, but I am going to JUST so I can be included in the next tweetup.
