Im shocked that you’d say its bad pizza?? Maybe you’re used to Dominos or Papa Ginos? Take a look at Lombardi’s or any traditional Italian pizzeria, theres always some charing on the pizza in a food fired or coal oven. The restaurant is packed in the summer and they have one oven, so if you’re in there in the height of summer theres a wait. Yes, during dinner if you are just having drinks and waiting for a table you do not have priority over customers wanting to sit down and eat dinner. It’s called common sense!!

I think the pizza at Pi Pizzeria in Nantucket is the worst pizza I've ever had, and the people working there, are rude and obnoxious. We went there with another couple this summer ('09) and they told us that there was a 40 minute wait, which was fine. So my friend and I grabbed a couple seats at the bar for a drink. After about 5 minutes, the manager asked us to give up our seats because some other guests showed up and they wanted to eat at the bar, rather than wait for a table. Why didn't they have to wait until two seats at the bar opened up? That's just wrong. Then when the pizza finally showed up (it took over 45 minutes from the time we ordered) it wasn't slightly burned…the crust on half the pizza looked like a charcoal briquette. And when we complained, we were verbally accosted by a women who was either the co-manager or owner. In fairness, they male manager, stopped by later and was far more reasonable (though he had previously asked us to leave the bar!) Bottom line- it's a bad restaurant with bad food and bad values.

The pizza does not need to be patted down with a napkin. There is no grease/oil at all. That photo was taken with my phone. It's to bad the photo can't be clicked on and enlarged. It looks wet in that photo but its not.

I second what Malcolm said. Super thin crust, great ingredients, slightly charred around the edges for a smoky flavor. Sometimes I just get the plain cheese pizza with a little tomato sauce. It's always perfect. Usually you only see pizza like this in NYC. **David**

You can never go wrong with a Margherita Pizza. I love those. I think from the picture, that the pizza needs to be patted down with a few napkin's, but other than that it looks pretty good!
