I only revealed myself after paying, since I wanted them to know I thought their pizza was great. Normally I NEVER say who I am, but if a place warrants a good review, I will inform them that they will be reviewed.

Should have clarified in the review. Why, when you do your reviews, do you "out" yourself as having a pizza review website? Usually reviewers go to great lengths to remain anonymous. In this instance, first you tried drawing attention to yourself by asking about the history of the restaurant. When that didn't work, you just came out and told them yourself about your website. What were you expecting the manager to do? Give you free pizza? Come over and plead with you to give them a great review?

If having an amateur pizza review website makes you famous, then why shouldn't the manager treat you like any other famous person? If someone "famous" came into their restaurant to eat and it was pointed out, it would be pretty rude to run over there and start bothering the person. I just don't know what you expected to happen, except for certain, that the next time you go in, they fawn all over you. If you enjoy the pizza, why not just go often and become a regular, and then if you feel then need, reveal it later? Because you are not content just being a "regular", you want to elevate yourself to an ever higher status as an "expert".

Everyone is a pizza expert in their own right. Just because you eat a lot of and enjoy pizza doesn't make you more of an expert than anyone else, especially someone who makes pizza for a living. You would be a lot easier to stomach if you weren't trying to shove your "expert" status down everyone's throat. You really come off like a jerk, in case you didn't realize it. But please keep writing your pizza "blog", because it is always good for a laugh.

I have a question for you.
