Mario’s Pizza & Restaurant White Plains NY

After throwing out my pizza from Nicky’s Restaurant across the street (please see previous post), I walked into Mario’s. All the excitement of being back in “New York” had been deflated and I wasn’t expecting much. However the pizza here was pretty good. Nothing to write home about, but if every pizza joint was like this, there would be no reason to complain.
I can’t help but wonder why anyone would go to Nicky’s if this was across the street. I mean just look at the pictures! Same camera, the slice at Mario’s was colorful and vibrant. A pleasant sauce, tangy cheese, and three more visits by me before the week was over. Mario’s gets 6 of 8 slices.
In my opinion Mario’s is the better of the two places.

True to the t. Nicky's is terrible. Mario's is not bad like the review. In fact I'm waiting for a delivery. The only way i would choose Nicky's is if the only other choice was dominoes or papa johns or something like that. lol
I wouldn't use Mario's pizza for a doormat. Their pizza can't come close to Nicky's. 45 years in business, Nicky's must be doing something right. You have no clue as to what good pizza is.
