Bonello’s New York Pizza San Pedro California

I have been in the L.A. area now for three months, and I finally decided it was time to venture out to find what kind of pizza the area has to offer. While driving in the San Pedro area it occurred to me that my friend….well acquaintance Sean recommend that I try Bonello’s New York pizza. I think he might even have a tattoo of this place on his calf, but it is so hard to tell since you can’t recognize anything on his body since it is totally inked up with anime…a total different story.
At first I was skeptical of Bonello’s because of the location of the restaurant. Bonello’s is not located in the best of neighborhoods. It was quite scary actually. As soon as I went inside I felt as if I just entered a N.Y. pizzeria. The owner and another man were chatting it up and they did not hesitate to include the customers, which really helped make for a comfortable authentic N.Y. atmosphere. As for the pizza, I was not disappointed. The pizza had just the right amount of cheese and sauce on the pie. The crust was perfect, not to thick or thin. The slices were foldable but firm. Best of all the prices are extremely reasonable.
All in all, this the best “N.Y. style pizza” I have had outside of the New York itself. If you are in the San Pedro area and you are looking for a good slice of pizza look no further Bonello’s is your place. I give it 7 out of 8 slices.

I live further south though, in Orange County, and a place i definitely recommend is Hotties Pizza. Great pizza! It is in Costa Mesa, so check it out. You will not be disappointed.
