CPK – California Pizza Kitchen in Boca Raton
September 18th, 2008 - By: Matt's Pizza

I don’t really like the whole concept of chain restaurants, but they are growing on me. And I never understood California Pizza Kitchen. But I now realize outside of New York there just aren’t decent options. So I am enjoying the new California Pizza Kitchen in the Boca Raton Town Center Mall. The key is to not get the traditional margherita or pepperoni pizza that you would get in your local pizzeria. That’s not what CPK is about. Its about reinventing pizza. I had a pizza that was half buffalo wing and half Mexican (carne Asada). They were both delicious. The crust was a better base than any sandwich could be. The toppings were fresh, bursting with flavor, and I couldn’t get enough. I went back a few days later and got the same pie again. I don’t think of it as pizza; I consider it another food item altogether. If I am not comparing it to New York pizza, it gets 5 out of 8 slices.

The best pizza I have ever had in Florida is at Christophers but the jokes on me as this is not a pizza place. Its a night club. I ve called and pleaded with the owners to serve their great pizza during the day but they wont do it. So if you dont mind paying a cover charge and meeting their dress code you can have New York pizza in Florida but just be prepared to listen to very loud music and put up with the South Florida screw balls that seem to come here
Where is chrostophers located?
