Your an idiot guy. Collesso never had to deliver a pizza since it was established in year 1492. when columbus landed he went right to collesso and got that square pie. you ever see 75 people in a space fit for 35 people jocking for pizza and yes there was an additional 29 people working on a friday night behind the counter. never ever heard of any pizzaria cooking pizza sauce??????????….you don’t cook pizza sauce #1 and #2 you don’t put hot sauce on cold raw dough to cook!!!!….lmao 24 years ina pizza place this i know !!!!!….p.s im not an employee of colosseo but a close by competitor

Just had a few slices from a fresh pie. Yum. Sorry you had a bad batch but this stacks up against the best. The crust is nice and thin, perfectly crunchy. Cheese is top quality and melted to perfection. I’m a fan of their sauce, really don’t like sweet sauces.

Big fan of little Vincent’s in ronkonkoma and Aegean in Holbrook. Umbertos is really good. Difara in midwood is top notch. Always get a good vodka slice at pomodoro on spring in soho.

Always get it fresh before you judge because that slice could have been sitting for some time and that effects taste Las Vegas Pizza

what is this guy talking about? colosseo’s is the best of the best. just going there on the weekends is like a war. people are cramming into the place and waiting for and hour or more to sit down. craig…your mouth must be way different than mine…because as far as i could tell…colosseo’s is about the best pizza could possibly get. when i go there…its like a religious hiatus. there are several places on long island that kick ass…but colosseo’s is amongst the top 5…actually…probably number 1. meet me there and i will watch you eat their food. if you tell me to my face its nothing short of incredible i will smash a pie in yo face. nuff said. I just went back to try it out again, and I was once again extremely unimpressed. I have photos I will post shortly to show how terrible the outer crust was, and how uneven the cheese was applied.

I am in Long Island and will try it again this week to see if it was as rough as it was my first time. If it is any better, I will post a new review about it!

I would cut off my right foot for a slice of Colosseo. You’re crazy. This pizza has long been the favorite of my family. We know people who drive 2 hours to bring home a few pies to freeze.

I SOOO agree with you on this review! The pizza here is over-rated and over-hyped. My corner Sicilian was not at all crunchy or crispy! My regular slice was also soggy and flimsy. Pizza should have some crunch and keep its shape when you hold it by the crust. It doesn’t do that here.

It couldn’t have been because it wasn’t fresh… I knew it was fresh! I watched as this pie came out of the oven and onto my plate! I guess I don’t know what “real” pizza is…
