After being totally disappointed with both Rotelli Pizza and Peace a Pizza by my office, I tried Sal’s Pizza here in Boca Raton on the corner of Yamato Road and Congress.  You can read my previous review of a different Sal’s Pizza here.  This Sal’s Pizza of Boca Raton is located on 861 Yamato road and is near the Wendy’s.

For starters when I am served a slice of pizza with a bubble in it, I instantly know the pizza maker didn’t have any real care about how the pie looks or taste, or he would have popped them during a spin in the oven.  The pizza was served to us overbearingly hot, and was extremely well done.  Normally I would deduct points for this, but amazingly the pizza crust held firm the entire time and didn’t sag making for one of the most enjoyable crispy experiences in recent times.

The taste wasn’t anything overwhelming, however for some reason everything seemed just fine.  Maybe it was by pure luck that this Sal’s tasted good, since obviously they put no effort into the appearance of the slice, nor the time they cooked it.  Will venture back there again soon and hopefully they will not pull a Rotelli on me!  I will give ths Sal’s Pizza of Boca Raton 5 out of 8 slices!

As a side note, I have never seen such TINY meatballs in my life!  When your meatballs are smaller then the bubbles in your pizza you should ask yourself…….Are my meatballs too small, or are the bubbles in my pizza too big?

Hi, as a manager of Sal's at this location, I do apologized for the bubbles on your pizza, I shouldn't be that way. I thank you for having this web and be objective so when we received a bad comment or grade I will review it and make any neccesary change. I want to invite you to have a regular pizza from our menu and not just slices. So you can properly rate and compare a fresh pizza just out of the oven.
    Sincerely
    Carlos Rodriguez.
PD I do love Pizza and I still vote for mine. You can try also Brewzzy in glades rd.

Really Carlos? I was at your location today for lunch with my wife and we each had the two slice special with drink, which was clearly posted in front of your store on the menu for $4.99 each. We were charged $5.99 each and when I questioned it on the bill, you did nothing but argue with us and told us the menu out front is the wrong price and that the price went up, you just havent changed the sign out front. You told us you would correct the amount on the bill this time and for us to never come back to your restaurant. You were also telling one of your workers to call the police to have us trespassed. All for wanting to pay for what we ordered? We did absolutely nothing wrong. I wasn’t loud and used no offensive language. There was no reason whatsoever to consider having us trespassed. We even told the waitress we wanted the $4.99 special out front when we ordered. Trust me, after having to argue with you about a mistake you and your team made, we would NEVER want to come back to this restaurant again. I’ll spread the word for you too. Very poor management skills and no customer relation skills and apparently lazy for not correcting the price out front.
