Today we went to have lunch at Red Rock Coal Fired Pizza  located here in Boca Raton, Florida.  We ordered a large and a small Margarita pizza and were equally pleased with both.  Since the pizza’s are supposedly coal fired (which personally I find hard to believe since coal is not an easily found element in Florida and seems relatively expensive to bring down) they come out usually in 6-8 minutes which is great during a busy lunch time!  Complaining about the pizza is hard, but since I like to complain about everything, I would have to say I am not a huge fan of the sauce (although others seem to LOVE it).  It isn’t that the taste of it is bad or anything, but I really dislike the clumpy-ness of it (if that is even a word).  If you hold up the slice it is likely the sauce will fall off of it which usually leads to a major mess, couple with the fact that when you bite into the pizza you usually bite all the cheese off which pulls the sauce off as well.  So, what I usually do is push away most of the sauce and enjoy the pizza better that way.  Another thing that could make the place better is fountain soda instead of bottles, but since this is not a soda blog I won’t touch anymore on that!  This pizza place is always consistent and I find myself trying to frequent it once every couple of weeks.  Therefore I will give Red Rock Pizza 6 out of 8 slices!

The previous comment is probably from a Domino's or Papa John's fan!….
The Red Rock is probably the best after a true pizza from Naples, Italy.
Great crust, great sauce with good tomatoes, and this twist of basilic leave is just exquisite!

Sure different from the industrial stuff, unfortunately the standard….

I have been trying to find out where Red Rock Pizza moved. I was told that they would be going to a Lighthouse Point location but I have not been able to find them.

They had the best pizza I've ever tasted, and I'm from Manhattan…

If anyone knows where they have relocated please advise. Thanks!

Laurie there was a death in the family, so I am not sure about a re-opening. Hopefully they will send us in the information once they do. I have to tell you, if you enjoyed Red Rock Pizza, you will find Tucci's to be equally as great!
